Praise God for His sovereign reign in our world and in our lives.  Ask God for wisdom and for Him to grow our obedience as we receive His instruction from His Word. Pray for Him to use our proclamation of His gospel to brng others to faith in Him and for them to join us in the worship of Him He alone is due.

This week we are praying for the families of Oliver Elementary School and the Love Oliver Campaign that launches today. Through Love Oliver, Brook Hills has the opportunity to join the families and partners of Oliver Elementary in overcoming the economic, academic, spiritual, and social barriers they face while pointing them to the perfect redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Find out how you can “Love Oliver”. We are also praying for Immanuel Church and Pastor Austin Baker.

Day 1: Oliver families are up against a host of economic, academic, and spiritual hurdles. Pray that God will enable us to minister to their tangible needs while pointing them to the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Pray God would call other Christ-followers to serve them in Jesus’ Name.

Day 2: Pray for those volunteers serving at Oliver Elementary School from churches. Pray for all of the ministries and organizations that connect these volunteers and mentors to students - Discovery Club, Oak Tree Ministries, Aspire Movement, Better Choices for Success Mentoring, NorthStar Soccer, STAIR tutoring, and Brook Hills classroom tutors and buddies. Pray that God will lead the mentors and other volunteers serving in these roles to exemplify the unconditional, selfless love of Christ.

Day 3: Pray that God would save and raise up a generation of young disciples at Oliver Elementary School who will let their light shine among their peers and families. Pray that they would make the Gospel known through their daily love for one another and love for their communities and school.

Day 4: Pray for the teachers and administration at Oliver Elementary School. Pray that God would use their gifts and talents to educate, encourage, and grow young minds. Pray that through their examples of love and kindness, many students and families would see the love of Christ.

Day 5: Pray for the Love Oliver campaign as we aim to raise $40,000 by Monday, June 5th to help make improvements to the soccer field at Oliver Elementary School, in addition to providing classroom supplies, backpacks, and clothing essentials to help relieve the financial burden on Oliver families as they prepare for school.

Day 6: Pray that our Faith Family, local churches, and community partners will work together in unity to invest time, care, resources, and prayer into our neighbors at Oliver. Pray that God would do a transforming work in the Gate City community and that it would become a beacon of hope in Birmingham.

This is the last week of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan for 1.8 billion Muslims in the world. For this month Muslims all over the world have been abstaining from food, drink, and other pleasures during the day to try and remove their sin and draw closer to God. Join us this week as we pray for specific Muslim people groups and majority Muslim places around the world. 

Day 1: Pray that God would reveal himself to Malay Muslims this week in dreams and visions. Pray for God to help them see their need for a Savior and that Christ is the only one who can save. Pray for our Sent Ones working with this people group.

Day 2: Pray for God to soften the hearts of Baloch men and women to the gospel and for Christ to be revealed, leading them in the way of truth. Pray for believers among the Baloch to be bold as they share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Day 3: Pray for large urban centers like Dubai. Pray for Muslims from around the world who live and work in this city to meet believers and hear the Good News. Pray for the small pockets of believers who live in majority Muslim populations all over the world to have boldness, courage, and passion as they proclaim the good news of Christ to their Muslim friends and family this month.

Day 4: The largest population of Muslims in the world are in Indonesia. Pray for God to move among the Sunda people in Indonesia. Pray for churches being planted throughout Indonesia and for workers who are laboring to bring the gospel to this nation and people.

Day 5: Pray for Somali Muslims living in the United States. Pray for God to provide opportunities for gospel conversations to take place this last week of Ramadan with believers who are engaging them. Pray for more access to Somalis and others around the USA.

Day 6: Pray for Turks and Kurds in Turkey during Ramadan. Pray for the message of salvation by grace and through faith in Christ alone might somehow be proclaimed to families this week.
