Praise God for Jesus’s promised return. Pray for Him to help us all show people the way to the Father through faith in Jesus. Ask Him to help us face our doubts and grow our trust in Him.

This week we are praying for Sav-A-Life Shelby, a pregnancy resource ministry that seeks to develop a culture of life and to offer the hope of the gospel. This week we are joining in prayer with the staff, donors, and volunteers of Sav-A-Life Shelby as they celebrate their new Chelsea location opening this fall. By providing free, confidential services in a compassionate and loving environment to women, men, and families facing an unplanned pregnancy, Sav-A-Life Shelby hopes to see clients across Shelby County choose life for themselves and for their unborn children. We’re also praying for Westwood Baptist Church and Pastor Kenneth Bruce.

Day 1: Pray for the clients seeking help at both the Pelham and Chelsea locations. Pray that each one would encounter Jesus and be transformed by the gospel. Pray that each client would choose life for both her and her unborn child.

Day 2: Pray for the volunteer workforce of Sav-A-Life Shelby. With a new location, Sav-A-Life Shelby will need additional client advocates, appointment setters, and scribes. Pray that God would raise up new volunteers to serve at both centers.

Day 3: Pray for the Sav-A-Life Shelby staff and leadership to seek God’s will and yield to His plans for the ministry. Pray for wisdom for the Sav-A-Life Shelby board as they seek God’s guidance as they lead in this new endeavor.

Day 4: Pray for the medical care team. Pray that as they help clients see their babies for the first time, the Lord would give them the ability to speak truth in love in every instance. Pray for their hearts and their strength as they seek to strengthen others in hard places.

Day 5: Pray for financial provision. Pray that new one-time and recurring monthly donors will give generously for the sake of life. Pray that their generosity will encourage others in their circles to also give. Pray for the Sav-A-Life Shelby team to be good stewards of all that God has given them.

Day 6: Pray a prayer of thanksgiving for the 37 years Sav-A-Life Shelby has been in existence. Praise God for the many men and women that have served within their doors over the past four decades, and for the many women and their families that have chosen life throughout the years. Pray that the Lord will continue to provide the vision, resources, and staff needed to continue this ministry.

This week we are praying for the people and churches of the Desert City. We have two families serving in this city, as well as a few churches that we partner alongside. The Desert City is home to 4.5 million people with only about 40,000 people knowing and following Jesus.

Day 1: Praise God that there are a few gospel-preaching churches in the city. Pray for more churches to be planted across the city in many different languages. 

Day 2: Every country in the world is represented in the Desert City, with 90% of the residents being from another country. Pray that people will hear the gospel and be discipled, and then take the gospel to other unreached places and plant churches. 

Day 3: Pray that Christians in the Desert City will not be ashamed of the gospel but will boldly live for Jesus and proclaim the gospel in their workplaces and neighborhoods. 

Day 4: Pray for churches across the Desert City to be united in the gospel for the sake of the spread of the gospel across the city and the world. 

Day 5: Pray for the two Brook Hills families serving in Desert City. Pray that God will sustain them and allow them to serve for many years in the city for God's glory. Pray that God will use these families to raise up disciple-makers. 

Day 6: Pray for God to send out more singles and families from within our faith family to serve in the Desert City short-, mid-, and long-term.
