Pray for the children and families at Oliver to see, hear, and understand the gospel. Ask God to give love, wisdom, and endurance to Oliver educators and leadership as they continue to serve. Ask God to continue to cultivate and deepen relationships amongst Oliver families, local churches, and our Love Oliver partners.
Pray for the Oliver families who face economic, academic, and spiritual hurdles. Ask God to continue to equip the community to address these barriers. Ask God to enable us to minister to their tangible needs while pointing them to Jesus’ redemptive work. Ask God to call adults, adolescents, and children to Himself and for them to trust in Jesus.
Ask God to save and raise up a generation of young disciples at Oliver Elementary School. Pray for children to be beacons of light who shine among their peers and families. Pray for the gospel to be clear to their young minds, and for them to be marked by love so their families may see the love of Christ in them.
Pray for the educators and administrators at Oliver Elementary School. Ask God to use their gifts and talents to educate, encourage, and grow young minds. Pray for many students and families to see the love of Jesus through their examples of love and kindness.
Pray for the ministries and organizations in Gate City that mentor and lead children and teens in the community. Ask God to continue to bless Oak Tree Ministries, Discovery Clubs, Urban Young Life, Empower to Conquer, and STAIR Tutoring. Ask God to use these mentors to exemplify the unconditional, selfless love of Christ in their patience, kindness, and desire to walk with young students.
Pray for our Love Oliver 2026 campaign. Ask God to provide $40,000 so that Brook Hills can continue to support and encourage Oliver Elementary School and its partners. Ask God to use the classroom supplies, band instruments, teacher appreciation gifts, campus grounds projects, and community events to cultivate and deepen relationships for His glory.
Pray for our Faith Family, local churches, and community partners as they continue to unite in investing time, care, resources, and prayer into our Oliver neighbors. Ask God to continue to transform the Gate City community and for it to become a beacon of hope in Birmingham.
