This Week
Scripture Memory
Pray for the Church
Praise God for His design for motherhood. Pray all of our mothers will embrace their role and responsibility in preparing their children for the lives to which God has called them. Pray for women who desire to have children but have found that to be a struggle to find comfort in God and His plan for them. Pray for mothers whose children have passed away to find peace in God. Pray for women throughout our faith family who are spiritual mothers to so many to continue in making disciples both here and around the world.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Christ Health Center, a health clinic in Woodlawn that demonstrates the love and power of Jesus Christ by providing excellent, affordable healthcare for the uninsured, while also participating in local community development. Christ Health Center exists to see the sick made well and the well made whole. Christ Health Center gives patients access to the very best in primary care, dental services, and professional counseling, as well as medication therapy management through an on-site pharmacy.
DAY 1: Pray for God to be known and felt each time a patient enters and leaves Christ Health Center. Pray for the gospel to be clearly presented and received by every patient and person that comes in contact with this work.
DAY 2: Pray for the Christ Health Center Residency Program. Pray that Christ Health is able to train, inspire, and send out medical doctors who are equipped to use medicine to reach souls for the gospel of Christ.
DAY 3: Pray for the new behavioral and mental health center, Live Oaks Center. Pray for the continued expansion efforts of Christ Health Center as they look for new ways to serve the community.
DAY 4: Pray for Christ Health Center’s participation in community development. Pray for healthy relationships with the local governments, schools, and other community partners.
DAY 5: Pray for continued financial blessing on Christ Health Center. Pray for the leadership to continue to steward the dollars given well, and that through these gifts, lives across the city are changed both physically and spiritually.
DAY 6: Pray for the staff and volunteers, that God would protect their unity and add the right people at the right time to keep the heart of the work pure. Pray that the team would enjoy the labor God has called them to and not grow weary in doing good.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for the people of India as they face a devastating second wave of Covid-19. India has had more Covid-19 cases in the last seven days than anywhere else in the world, and the intensity of this second wave is highlighted by overrun hospitals and the lack of adequate resources to care for those suffering with the virus. India is home to over 1.4 billion people, most of whom do not have access to the gospel. Join us this week as we pray for the people of India and that God would have mercy and open the eyes of many to their need for a Savior.
DAY 1: There is an average of 300,000 new confirmed cases each day in India. Most of these, it is safe to say, represent people who do not know Christ. Pray for God to heal those who are suffering. Pray for God to move in the hearts of the people and for the power of the gospel to be revealed.
DAY 2: Amidst high levels of fear and anxiety, pray that Christians in India would use this opportunity to show their trust in God and assurance of their salvation.
DAY 3: Pray for believers in India to endure in faith in Christ Jesus and for boldness in this season so others might know him as well. Pray for the church in India to be on display, being the hands and feet of Christ by serving those who are suffering because of what Christ did for us.
DAY 4: Pray that God would grant wisdom to healthcare workers and public health officials in India as they work to contain the spread of this infection with limited resources, while still caring for those who are suffering.
DAY 5: Pray for resources and aid to arrive and be dispersed with wisdom to those in greatest need. Pray for God to provide for those who are suffering.
DAY 6: Pray for the spread of this infection to cease in India. Pray for those who are fearful to seek the one who can give hope and confidence of future glory. Pray for many to hear the gospel and believe in Christ.
