Pray for the Church
Praise God for graciously calling us to repentance in response to His gospel. Pray we will all take seriously His command to make disciples. Ask the Spirit to embolden our witness of Christ. Ask God to prepare people around us to hear and respond to the gospel. Pray we will grow in our knowledge of God’s Word to better communicate His message. Pray for God to add to our number all those He saves through our witness.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for the many internationals living in the Birmingham Metro Area and for the members of our Faith Family and partner ministries who are actively seeking to share the gospel and make disciples among them. We are also praying for Birmingham International Church, and Pastor Ron Higey
Day 1: Pray for the Brook Hills ESL (English as a Second Language) Ministry providing free English classes to internationals on Thursday nights. Pray that the relationships formed between students and volunteers will provide open doors for the gospel to be shared and genuinely received with repentance and faith.
Day 2: Praise God for His love and sovereignty over all lives, made evident in His bringing individuals from hard-to-reach nations across the globe to our city and to the English classes that they might know Him. Pray for the salvation of the 42 students from 16 countries that are currently registered and for more to come.
Day 3: Pray for the thousands of international students enrolled in nearby universities and exchange students studying in Birmingham area high schools. Pray that their host families, Friendship Partners, and classmates will be willing to seize any opportunity God provides to be witnesses of the gospel.
Day 4: Pray for the Brook Hills Hispanic Congregation, Pastor Eduardo Torres, and the Hispanic ministry small group leaders as they make disciples among Spanish speakers in our community and as they welcome them into their worship services, small groups, and homes.
Day 5: Pray for the Brook Hills Engage Teams as they engage unreached people groups within our city with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray that their faithfulness in evangelism and discipleship will result in the planting of new churches where new believers can gather to worship God in their own language.
Day 6: Pray that members of our Faith Family would make disciples of all nations in a local context by being especially mindful of the internationals living among us. Pray that the international churches in our area would faithfully preach the gospel and send out missionaries to plant new churches in their native countries.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills Member Organization Lantern Vision. Lantern Vision was created to help illuminate the story and work of Christians across the world. Their main focus and goal is to collect and tell stories of how God is working around the world to help support mission organizations, churches, and individuals who are engaging the world with the gospel. Join us this week as we pray for Lantern Vision. For more information visit lanternvision.org.
Day 1: Lantern Vision is led by Brook Hills member Nathan Troost. Pray for God to continue to give wisdom and guidance to Nathan as he leads Lantern Vision.
Day 2: Praise God for Lantern Vision and how he is using Nathan and his team to proclaim the good news of Christ in the lives of people around the world. Pray for God to continue to sustain Lantern Vision so many more can hear of his story.
Day 3: There are many stories to tell. Pray for Nathan and his team to be sensitive to God leading to capture the right stories that will honor and glorify the name of Christ among all nations.
Day 4: Pray for the men and women whose stories are being told. Praise God for his faithfulness to save individuals from their sin. Pray for their stories to be used to make the gospel known to others who will see and hear it.
Day 5: Pray for Nathan and his wife Flori who were recently married this last year. Pray for the Lord to strengthen their marriage and glorify himself in their family and through their ministry together.
Day 6: This year, Lantern Vision will be doing projects in Uganda, Romania, Costa Rica, and Peru to name a few. Pray for the Lord to provide traveling mercies for Nathan and for many opportunities to encourage believers in these areas of the world.

This I Believe (The Creed)
Verse 1
Our Father everlasting
The all creating One
God Almighty
Through Your Holy Spirit
Conceiving Christ the Son
Jesus our Saviour
Chorus
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in One
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe in the Name of Jesus
Verse 2
Our judge and our defender
Suffered and crucified
Forgiveness is in You
Descended into darkness
You rose in glorious life
Forever seated high
Bridge
I believe in You
I believe You rose again
I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord
Man of Sorrows (Hallelujah! He Has Saved Me)
Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Guilty, vile, and helpless we
Spotless Lamb of God was He
“Full atonement!” can it be
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Hallelujah, He has saved me
Sin and death shall reign no more
Christ has made a way for sinners
Hallelujah, what a Savior
Lifted up was He to die
“It is finished!” was His cry
Now in heav’n exalted high
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
When He comes, our glorious King
All His ransomed home to bring
Then anew His song we’ll sing
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
All I Have is Christ
Verse 1
I once was lost in darkest night
Yet thought I knew the way
The sin that promised joy and life
Had led me to the grave
I had no hope that You would own
A rebel to Your will
And if You had not loved me first
I would refuse You still
Verse 2
But as I ran my hell-bound race
Indifferent to the cost
You looked upon my helpless state
And led me to the cross
And I beheld God's love displayed
You suffered in my place
You bore the wrath reserved for me
Now all I know is grace
Chorus
Hallelujah all I have is Christ
Hallelujah Jesus is my life
Verse 3
Now Lord I would be Yours alone
And live so all might see
The strength to follow Your commands
Could never come from me
O Father use my ransomed life
In any way You choose
And let my song forever be
My only boast is You
