Jay Gordon
Ministry Role & Responsibility: As the Adult and Small Groups Minister, my responsibility is to cultivate a healthy group culture that invites people into Biblical community, helps them grow toward spiritual maturity in Christ, and equips them to make disciples in every part of their lives.
About Me: Liz and I met through the Baptist Campus Ministry at Jacksonville State University. We were married in 1985 after she completed two years of service as a Journeyman missionary in Venezuela.
We have two grown, married children and two grandchildren whom we love spending time with. Liz has a green thumb and enjoys growing things, both at home and through her seasonal job at a local plant nursery. Whenever we have the opportunity, we enjoy traveling together.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of serving churches in Alabama, Texas, and Arkansas. In my free time, I enjoy working in the yard, following college football, and watching Major League Baseball.

Favorite Scripture:
"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil." – Ephesians 5:15-16
Interesting Fact: I have attended a Major League Baseball game in all 30 cities that host a team. My favorites were Boston and Detroit.
