All 1st—5th graders meet together on the 3rd floor of the main
building for a time of worship, Scripture study, and relationship-building small
groups. From Bible study to music to missions to special events and summer
programs, this is an amazing place to start a relationship with Christ and grow
strong in the faith. It is our desire to provide your child with a time that is
biblically relevant to their lives and fun at the same time. As we disciple
children using small groups we want them to come to know the God of the Bible
through Bible Study, prayer, worship and serving our community and world. We
want to raise up a generation of kids who become passionate about Him and the
Word, become fully devoted followers of Christ, and carry on the discipleship
process as teens and adults spreading a passion for the supremacy of Christ to
all the nations. We believe the most important spiritual leaders in a
child’s life are the parents, and as parents model a lifestyle of
worship and Bible study, kids will see how important making disciples really is.

A New Christian Class is available for children in grades 2-5 . The
completion of this class is a requirement for baptism. Any child, in grades
2-5, who is already a Christian, is invited to complete this class. We strongly
encourage parents to teach this class at home. We provide you with the
curriculum and all the necessary tools to successfully disciple your child in
his/her new life in Christ. The children will learn more about what it means to
be a Christian, about the meanings of words that Christians use, write their
testimonies, learn about baptism, the Lord’s Supper, the church,
praying, how to use their Bibles, how to have a quiet time, and telling others
about Jesus. For more information or to receive the New Christian Class curriculum, contact us at (205)313-7751.

When parents arrive at a check-in station to check in their child,
they will be asked for the last four digits of their phone number.
The Smile Team member will enter that information and the child will be
checked into his/her classroom. The child will receive a nametag with
a random security number printed on it. Parents will receive a receipt
label with the matching security number. When the parents return to pick
up their child, they will show the receipt label with the matching number.
-
A corresponding sticker with matching security code will be given to
the parent. THIS SECURITY TAG WILL BE REQUIRED IN ORDER TO PICK UP A CHILD.
If a child’s tag is lost, parents will be directed to a staff member
to verify that the individual is authorized to pick up that child.
-
We have the ability to notify you from the worship room if we have
an urgent need regarding your child. We will display your child’s
security check-in receipt number on the screen in the worship room. If
your child’s number is displayed, please report to the information
desk in the lobby as soon as possible for further instructions.
-
If a parent does not have a security code, they will be asked to show
a driver’s license to verify that they are authorized to pick up
that child.
