WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?

• Where

  The majority of the 9-10 million of this people group are located between Central and South Asia, with smaller populations in the Arabian Peninsula and Middle East. They have adapted to various landscapes and thrive in coastal areas, mountains, and deserts.

• Beliefs & Values

  These people are a fierce people, full of passion and intensity and are almost entirely Muslim. The level of devotion to Islam varies tribe to tribe and many are illiterate and rely on the teaching of their leaders. Honor is of the utmost importance and great lengths are taken to preserve and defend one’s honor.

• Lifestyle

  The homeland of this people is an arid and mountainous desert region where conditions are very difficult. Large traditional groups live by fishing, planting crops, or tending herds of camels, goats or sheep. Some groups are still semi-nomadic like their ancestors, though many have settled and live in villages or even in the slums of several large cities.

• Physical Needs

  Largely neglected and even oppressed by their government, these people are often desperately impoverished. Even when jobs are found in large cities, often they are forced to gather together into overcrowded slums where clean water is scarce and crime and violence reign.

• Spiritual Oppression

  These people are among the most prioritized unreached, unengaged people groups in the world. They are an extremely difficult people to access and engage. Islam dominates the culture around them and is especially harsh in its response to Christianity, causing the small number of Christians among this people to live in spiritual isolation. If a Christian is discovered, the resulting persecution can be devastating. The harshest persecution often comes directly from one’s own family.

• Christian Presence

  Many workers have tried to engage these people, with little success. Few have found a sustainable way to be among them. To this day there are few believers and few if any known churches.

How can we partner?

• Pray

  Oswald Smith once said, “Any church that is not seriously involved in helping fulfill the Great Commission has forfeited its biblical right to exist.” While understanding that God has not called everyone to move overseas and come alongside this effort, we strongly proclaim the truth that John Piper coined: “Pray, Go, or Disobey.” If God is not calling you to join us, please consider carefully partnering with us in prayer. E.M. Bounds wrote, “The home church on her knees, fasting and praying, is the great base of spiritual supplies, the sinews of war, and the pledge of victory in this dire and final conflict. Financial resources are not the real sinews of war in this fight. Machinery in itself carries no power to break down heathen walls, open effectual doors and win heathen hearts to Christ. Prayer alone can do the deed.”

  Without prayer our greatest efforts are worthless. We know that unless God, by the Holy Spirit, grants repentance and new hearts to lost men and women, no measure of gospel proclamation will be successful. We plead with you to join us by praying regularly for God to move through us and other teams among our people group. Most efforts so far have yielded little fruit, yet we are convinced that if we continue to labor among them, God will bring salvation. By joining our prayer team you will receive monthly prayer updates as well as any urgent needs. God deserves to be worshipped where He currently is not. We long for God to receive praise from those who are not worshipping Christ among these people. Praying to this end will allow you to have an impact on the frontlines of mission, where the gospel has yet to be heard. Join us in praying that the Lamb would receive the reward for His suffering, the praises of His people, in Central Asia.

• Give

  Give sacrificially to send teams and support ministries and resources that meet the needs of the people, build foundations for relationships, and deliver the Gospel.

• Go

  Is God calling you to short-, mid-, or long-term service with us among these people? We want to see them strategically engaged on every level worldwide. Singles and families, young and old, college, career, and retired – All have gifts and abilities that can be used in reaching out to this people for the glory of God.
