Think of Rock the Block as Vacation Bible School, but instead of one central location, Rock the Block is dispersed in neighborhoods where Brook Hills people live. And, Rock the Block is a much simpler scaled-down version of Vacation Bible School.
Rock the Block events typically run for 1½ to 2 hours in the morning or evening. And, they usually last 4 or 5 days any one week in the summer. Each team decides what works for them. Teams are adult small groups or Brook Hills families who use Rock the Block to reach families who live where they do. So, when Rock the Block ends, the connections and the Gospel conversations don’t.
We are praying for and working to have 50 Rock the Block sites in neighborhoods from Greystone to Gardendale to reach 300 families and over 700 children, including the ones on your street and in your neighborhood.
