WorkFaith Birmingham is a Christ-centered initiative specializing in empowering adults facing employment barriers with the skills, competencies, and ethics they need to enjoy transformed lives through work and faith.

Volunteers can serve in the following ways:

Mock Interviewers: Conduct mock interviews with our classes. Experienced interviewers give 3 hours on a weekday, as available. (Must have experience with hiring/management).

Phone Encouragers: Make weekly calls to graduates during their first year after graduation to pray with them and encourage them in the job search and spiritual growth.

Follow-up Team: Make follow-up calls to graduates after one year of graduation to gather updates regarding their life and job situation.

Teacher Assistants: Spend a few days during the two-week class assisting the teacher and students. No teaching experience is required.

Special Events: Help with occasional fund-raising special events. Help prepare for events and/or assist us with setup and cleanup.

Office Volunteers: As available, support various office tasks and preparation for WorkFaith Birmingham workshops.

Employer Partnership Team: Assist Jobs Coach in identifying and building partnerships with potential employers.
