This Week
Scripture Memory
Pray for the Church
Praise God the Father for sending His Son, Jesus, to earth. Pray we will all readily remember the birth of the Christ Child we celebrate at Christmas. Rejoice in His salvation. Praise God for the eternal reign of Jesus Christ our King.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Sav-A-Life Vestavia, a comprehensive pregnancy care ministry that is dedicated to offering free and confidential services in a loving environment to hundreds of women, men, and families facing an unplanned pregnancy. Sav-A-Life Pregnancy Test Center offers hope by providing help and emotional support while sharing the love of Jesus Christ through word and deed. We are also praying for Birmingham Chinese Christian Church and Pastor PC Weng.
DAY 1: Sav-A-Life desires to serve women, men, and families who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. Please pray for those considering abortion to find their way to the free, life-affirming services offered through Sav-A-Life and to choose life for their baby.
DAY 2: The education program at Sav-A-Life is growing fast, which means the baby boutique has a great need for supplies – particularly wipes and diapers size 3-6. Pray for donors to continue to provide items so that clients can have access to the resources they need.
DAY 3: Pray for Sav-A-Life as they continue to fight a spiritual battle on behalf of the unborn. Pray for the Lord to strengthen, counsel, and comfort them when spiritual warfare is at its strongest. Pray especially for Lisa Hogan as she leads this ministry.
DAY 4: Pray for the work being done on the new building that was donated to Sav-A-Life this year. Pray for it to be completed quickly so that the space can be utilized for the education department, which has almost doubled in size this year.
DAY 5: Please pray for the staff member at Sav-A-Life who is experiencing significant health issues. Pray for her complete healing and for the Lord to enable the staff team to effectively fill in the gaps during her absence.
DAY 6: Pray for Sav-A-Life’s year-end fundraising campaign. Pray for current investors in this ministry to remain faithful to give and that new investors will be moved to begin giving during this time.
Pray for the World
This week, as we celebrate the third week of our Global Offering month, we want to pray for the Mid-Termers who are being sent out from Brook Hills this season. Mid-Term is one of the pathways for Brook Hills to send members of our faith family. Mid-Termers serve two months to two years and are used to fuel the Long-Term work of partners and ministry around the world. It is also a time to confirm if God is calling a member to go Long-Term (two years or more). Praise God that through the Global Offering we are able to send and support these Mid-Termers as they live and do ministry all over the world.
DAY 1: Megan will be serving in Central Asia to help a team there that is developing biblical resources in the local language. Pray for Megan to be faithful to abide in the word and prayer. Pray for spiritual growth and unity in the church in Central Asia.
DAY 2: Bethany will be working with an NGO in Kenya supporting children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Pray for Bethany to quickly adjust to her new life. Pray for the Holy Spirit to empower Bethany to clearly communicate the gospel to those she meets.
DAY 3: Kara will be serving alongside a team of people to engage an unreached people group in South Asia. Pray for Kara to love the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength. Pray for boldness to proclaim the good news.
DAY 4: Nia is going to serve in Central Asia among families that will need help homeschooling their children. Pray for the Lord to help Nia quickly find a rhythm and balance of life that is glorifying to God and beneficial for the people they are serving.
DAY 5: Praise God that He continues to call and send out more Mid-Termers from Brook Hills. Pray for God to call more of our members to go and serve so the church can be strengthened and the gospel proclaimed everywhere.
DAY 6: Pray for God to bless the Global Offering this week so we can continue to send out more and more Mid-Term workers from our faith family.

Hark the Herald Angels Sing
Verse 1
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled
Joyful all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With th'angelic hosts proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Verse 2
Christ by highest heav'n adored
Christ the everlasting Lord
Late in time behold Him come
Offspring of the Virgin's womb
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see
Hail th'incarnate Deity
Pleased as man with men to dwell
Jesus our Emmanuel
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Verse 3
Hail the heav'n-born Prince of Peace
Hail the Sun of Righteousness
Light and life to all He brings
Ris'n with healing in His wings
Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth
Hark the herald angels sing
Glory to the newborn King
Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery
Verse 1
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
In the dawning of the King
He the theme of heaven's praises
Robed in frail humanity
In our longing in our darkness
Now the light of life has come
Look to Christ who condescended
Took on flesh to ransom us
Verse 2
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
He the perfect Son of Man
In His living in His suff'ring
Never trace nor stain of sin
See the true and better Adam
Come to save the hell-bound man
Christ the great and sure fulfillment
Of the law in Him we stand
Verse 3
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Christ the Lord upon the tree
In the stead of ruined sinners
Hangs the Lamb in victory
See the price of our redemption
See the Father's plan unfold
Bringing many sons to glory
Grace unmeasured love untold
Verse 4
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Slain by death the God of life
But no grave could e'er restrain Him
Praise the Lord He is alive
What a foretaste of deliv'rance
How unwavering our hope
Christ in power resurrected
As we will be when He comes
Jesus Son of God
Verse 1
You came down from Heaven's throne
This earth You formed was not Your home
A love like this the world had never known
A crown of thorns to mock Your name
Forgiveness fell upon Your face
A love like this the world had never known
Chorus
On the altar of our praise
Let there be no higher name
Jesus Son of God
You laid down Your perfect life
You are the sacrifice
Jesus Son of God
You are Jesus Son of God
Verse 2
You took our sin You bore our shame
You rose to life You defeated the grave
And a love like this the world has never known
'Cause You took our sin You bore our shame
You rose to life You defeated the grave
A love like this the world has never known
Bridge
Be lifted higher than all You've overcome
Your name be louder than any other song
There is no power that can come against Your love
The cross was enough
The cross was enough
O Holy Night
Verse 1
O holy night the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Chorus 1
Fall on your knees
O hear the angel voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born
O night O holy night
O night divine
Verse 2
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name
Chorus 2
Christ is the Lord
O praise His name forever
His power and glory
Evermore proclaim
His power and glory
Evermore proclaim
