Pray for the Church
Praise God for the new life we can have only in Him. Pray for God to help us see any darkness in our lives and to bring out sin into the light. Ask Him to help us understand what it means to be born again and to look to Him to work His saving power in our lives.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Serving You Ministries, a Christ-centered nonprofit organization in East Lake serving as a ministry arm of local churches and corporations by partnering with them to reach a lost and hurting world through crisis relief and benevolence ministry. We’re also praying for North Park Baptist Church and Pastor Bill Wilks.
Day 1: Pray for the staff and volunteers at Serving You Ministries to become increasingly Christ-like in showing grace, love, and compassion to those in need.
Day 2: Pray for those serving in each area of ministry to be empowered to boldly share the gospel within the East Lake community. Pray for salvation among those being served.
Day 3: Pray for those seeking support and financial assistance through Serving You Ministries to have their physical and spiritual needs met, and that a sustainable plan would be put in place for the future.
Day 4: Pray for the single moms seeking assistance to begin thriving as the chains of economic, relational, and spiritual poverty are broken through the gospel.
Day 5: Pray for the ministry to be a light in Birmingham and for the surrounding community to see God’s love and provision through them.
Day 6: Pray for protection over the building, staff, volunteers, visitors, and the community.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for our Brook Hills Mid-Termers who are being sent out this summer to serve in two different countries around the world. Mid-term is one of the ways we as a church mobilize our faith family to make disciples of all nations. It allows the opportunity for our members to serve in other contexts for two months up to two years. This summer we have the privilege to send out seven of our members to share the gospel in mostly unreached areas of the world. Join us this week as we pray for our summer Mid-Termers.
Day 1: Pray for Peyton B. as she serves in Central Asia this summer. Pray for God to soften the hearts of men and women she will engage with the gospel and for God to show His glory throughout the relationships cultivated.
Day 2: Pray for Blake W. as he serves in Central Asia this summer. Pray for him to make deep relationships with the people that God puts in his path, and for them to be open to hearing the gospel and to respond in faith.
Day 3: Pray for Sydney H. as she serves in Central Asia this summer. Pray for Sydney to be satisfied in the Lord and for team unity as she serves with others.
Day 4: Pray for Kate T. as she serves in Central Asia this summer. Pray for Kate to be constantly abiding in Christ, obedient to the Holy Spirit, and unified with her team.
Day 5: Pray for Ava P. as she serves in the Middle East this summer. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide her in conversations with people she meets and for fruitful opportunities to share the gospel.
Day 6: Pray for Mallory C. and Kensley G. as they serve together in Central Asia this summer. Pray for the Lord to give them both courage and confidence, and to make them a vessel as they interact and have conversations with those they meet.
