Pray for the Church
Praise God for His great majesty and sovereign power over all things. Pray for God to reveal to us sin in our lives of which we need to repent and areas of our faith we need to strengthen. Thank Him for His gracious patience with us. Pray for God to renew our commitment to love, serve, and obey Him above all others. Ask Him to help us not only live faithfully to Him but to effectively teach and demonstrate that faithfulness to emerging generations.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Serving You Ministries (SYM), a Christ-centered non-profit organization serving as a ministry arm to local churches and corporations by partnering with them to reach a lost and hurting world through crisis relief and benevolence ministry. SYM shares office and ministry space with WorkFaith Birmingham and partners with Brook Hills to serve those in need who come to us for help outside of our faith family. Visit servingyou.org for more information. We are also praying for North Park Baptist Church and Pastor Bill Wilks.
DAY 1: Pray for the SYM Food Pantry ministry. Pray families are fed and pantries are full through this ministry and that those who are served may come to know and understand that Jesus is the Bread of Life.
DAY 2: Pray for SYM’s Financial Assistance Program. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide the staff and give them wisdom to know which clients to assist. Pray as clients receive assistance, God gets all the glory.
DAY 3: Pray for Financial Peace University Classes at SYM. Pray for clients to learn how to be good stewards of what God has given them and to recognize that all good gifts come from above. Pray their relationship with Christ will continue to grow throughout the course of the program.
DAY 4: Praise God for the blessing of the building being donated to SYM. Pray for this building to serve as a hub for many Christian ministries to help the community find resources to break cycles of poverty.
DAY 5: Pray for the faithful volunteers that have been giving their time for weeks, months, or years. Pray as they pour themselves out for the good of others, their spirit would be refreshed. Pray for God to prepare the hearts of new laborers to join the work that He is doing through SYM.
DAY 6: Pray as the staff prepares to do God’s work and serve our city each day, the Holy Spirit would renew and guide them, giving them wisdom, discernment, compassion, and kindness.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for an unreached people group called the Hui. There are around 15 million Hui in China and only a handful of believers. There is no known Hui church, and access to Hui communities can be challenging. The Hui are an ethnically Chinese Muslim people group. To be Hui is to be Muslim – it is the core of who they are. Even if they don’t fully understand it, or even follow it, the same as some other countries do, it has been hidden deep inside of them from the time they were very young. Mandarin Chinese, both spoken and written, is the heart language of the Hui. Their spiritual language is a mixture of Arabic and Persian. Close to 99% of the Hui population is Muslim. It is estimated that .006% are Evangelical Christians. Join us as we pray for the Hui. For more information, visit pray4hui.com.
DAY 1: Although there are 15 million Hui scattered throughout China, very few (including the Chinese church) are intentionally planting their lives among the Hui to tell them about Christ. The Hui are in desperate need of more laborers to boldly proclaim the gospel. Pray for God to send thousands of workers into the harvest among the Hui.
DAY 2: Most Hui are hostile towards the gospel and reject it at all costs. Pray for God to stir within the hearts of Hui men and women a desire to know more about Christ. Pray for God to open their eyes to see their need for a Savior.
DAY 3: The church has grown exponentially among the majority, the Han people, and they have visions of taking the gospel to other nations. Pray for God to give Han church leaders a vision to reach their Hui neighbors.
DAY 4: Pray for many Hui to hear the gospel, to repent and believe in Christ and for God to use Han believers as agents for accomplishing this mission.
DAY 5: Many Hui believers experience isolation and loneliness. Ask God to help Hui believers find one another so they might grow together and encourage each other. Pray for the Hui believers to boldly share, even though it will cost them greatly.
DAY 6: Thank God for the Brook Hills Church Planting Team we currently have working among the Hui. Pray for the relationships they have with their Hui friends to bear fruit, as we long to see the first convert and the beginning of the Hui church.

Baptisms
Bless the Lord (Son of Man)
Son of Man, Son of Righteousness
King of the earth for sinners slain
I was lost in darkness bound
You ransomed my heart and I will sing
My strength, My deliverer
The One who rescues me
My hope, My redeemer
Your love has set me free
Bless the Lord, O my soul (4x)
In the splendor of Your majesty
From deep within my spirit sings
Holy, holy
Bless the Lord, O my soul (4x)
His Mercy is More
Verse 1
What love could remember no wrongs we have done
Omniscient all knowing He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Verse 2
What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father so tender is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest the vilest the poor
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Verse 3
What riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment His life was the cost
We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Chorus
Praise the Lord His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness new every morn
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
You Never Change
Oh may I run to no other refuge
No other rest for my soul
Oh may I drink from no other fountain
Where living waters will flow
Jesus you're all I need
Jesus you're all I need
You are my life, may You be lifted high
There is no other like Jesus Christ
You are my story, You're my everything
You are my glory, my God and my King
You are my rock, and You never change
No other power can break the darkness
No other hand that can save
Forever faithful, Your love is stronger
I trust in no other name
Jesus you're all I need
Jesus you're all I need
My strength to stand, all of my days are in Your hand
My light to see, Your glory goes before me (x2)
My King, You reign
My rock and You never change
No, You never change

That Christ was buried in

Baptised in blood and fire
No fear of condemnation
By faith I'm justified

Declare Your rule and reign
My life confess Your Lordship
And glorify Your Name
Your word it stands eternal
Your kingdom knows no end
Your praise goes on forever
And on and on again
No pow'r can stand against You
No curse assault Your throne
No one can steal Your glory
For it is Yours alone
I stand to sing Your praises
I stand to testify
For I was dead in my sin
Chorus 2
But now I rise
I will rise
As Christ was raised to life
Now in Him
Now in Him I live
Christ is Enough

Christ is my reward and all of my devotion
Now there's nothing in this world
That could ever satisfy
Through every trial my soul will sing
No turning back I've been set free

Christ is enough for me
Christ is enough for me
Everything I need is in You
Everything I need
Verse 2
Christ my all in all the joy of my salvation
And this hope will never fail
Heaven is our home
Through every storm my soul will sing
Jesus is here to God be the glory

I have decided to follow Jesus
No turning back no turning back
Bridge 2
The cross before me the world behind me
No turning back no turning back
