Children's Ministry Intern

Ministry Role & Responsibility: As the Children’s Ministry Intern, I have the privilege of serving the children of Brook Hills and their families. I assist in the weekly preparation for Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. In addition, I participate in large-group and small-group activities, special events, meetings, and camps. This role is a wonderful opportunity to support Brook Hills Kids and those involved with it.

About Me: I lived in Cumming, Georgia for the first 18 years of my life, but have now been in Birmingham for almost three years after starting school at Samford University. At Samford, I study Communications with a minor in Marketing, and in the past year, I have felt a call from the Lord to pursue ministry, specifically with children. I have a younger brother, an older sister, and two incredible parents, all of whom have played a large role in the growth of my faith.

My favorite things to do with my friends are play volleyball and card games, stay in and watch a movie, or find a pretty place outside to drink coffee and catch up. I love going to concerts, I am a big dog lover, and my favorite part of the week is serving with Brook Hills Kids on Wednesday nights.

Favorite Scripture:

“Fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:10

Interesting Fact: One of the cooler things I’ve gotten to do is ride on an elephant while on mission in Thailand. On that same trip, my sister and I were asked to perform the “church clap” dance on stage in front of 2500 Thai students, which we proceeded to do despite our serious lack of dancing talent.
