Anna-Kate Rader

Communications Associate for Art and Design

Ministry Role & Responsibility: I’m responsible for creating all things print and digital for the church, designing graphics for various ministry projects, and managing the weekly worship guides.

About Me: I grew up in Birmingham, AL and have always loved art and design. I attended Auburn University where I received a degree in Studio Art. Right after graduating, I moved back to Birmingham in order to pursue a second degree in Graphic Design from UAB while working part-time at a pottery studio.

I began working my first full-time graphic design job in Memphis, TN, where I made so many good friends, including my husband, Adam! We got married in the middle of the pandemic and it’s been so fun rediscovering Birmingham while introducing him to the city for the first time. We love trying new restaurants, attending concerts, going on hikes, and watching old seasons of Survivor. I absolutely love being a graphic designer, but still put my fine art degree to use by painting and doing pottery in my free time!

On Staff and Member of Brook Hills Since: April 2021

Favorite Scripture:

“For you shall go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and the hills before you
shall break forth into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress;
instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle;
and it shall make a name for the Lord,
an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

 – Isaiah 55:12-13

Interesting Fact: Growing up, my family always took really elaborate summer road trips. Because of this, I’ve visited almost all 50 states, love national parks, and have toured more historic battlefields than I’d care to mention.
