A story from a local Cambodian believer, this testimony has been translated from the original language in which it was written.

I heard the gospel of Jesus Christ in 2008 but did not believe in God. I just listened to the pastor share with me about God.

In 2010, my older brother came to visit me. He shared more about how God created the world and humanity and how it all belongs to Him. In the same year, I believed in God, and during that time, my pastor trained me in biblical knowledge and the message of God's salvation – God’s love for me.

Two years later, my pastor anointed me to become Church Leader in my village.

When I first I started the ministry in my village, it was very difficult for me to share the gospel with villagers because they hated Christianity so much. When I went out with my family, we were always despised by villagers because we believed in Jesus Christ. And we also have a lot of persecution by authorities not allowing us to share the gospel in this village.

I kept praying and praying hard, asking God to guide us in the best way to share the gospel with my village. I really wanted to bring the Good News of God’s salvation to them.

I was very excited when we decided as a church to partner with Neverthirst for a well project and to spread the gospel to our people and other villages. Before this project, only one family had started to follow Jesus Christ. Since we received this project, we have had many chances to share the gospel and living water with the villagers. I never thought that I would have such a great ministry partner to advance the name of Jesus together.

Now we have 15 families who believe, and we have also started a youth ministry and Sunday school in our church. Our church has grown a lot, and now it's much easier to connect with many other families or villages to share the gospel with them.

We always share with the villagers about living water – that we do not drink water from the well only, but we must drink water from the Word of God. Just as Isaiah 12:3 says, “Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”

When people come to draw water from the wells, we always share with them about clean water, and we often use the Word of God to share with the groups who come to the well.

As it’s written in Ezekiel 36:25, “I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean, from all your filthiness and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.”

Now it is easier to work with the community through the well project in advancing the gospel for God's kingdom together. We thank God for His blessings for our church and villagers. On behalf of our church, our leaders would like to say a big thank you to the donors so much for support of our ministry.

May God bless you all! Amen.

Mr. K, a local believer and leader in Cambodia, mobilized families in his village to save $150 USD in order to partner with Neverthirst and install a clean water well for his community. As he shares, through the installation of the well, Mr. K. and the church now have more access to villagers to share the gospel and make Christ known. He and his wife have five children, and they are continuing to spread the message of living water to all who will listen. Through the Global Offering, Brook Hills also partnered with Neverthirst to see this very well come to completion.
