Praise God for His patience as we grow in our knowledge of Him, our love for Him, and our obedience to Him. Pray for humility, and ask God to help us see ways to help others around us so we might be servants to all. Ask Him to grow our trust in and dependence on Him.

This week we are praying for Olivia’s House Outreach. Olivia’s House (adatc.org) is an alcohol and drug abuse treatment center in East Lake that provides holistic care for chemically dependent women and their children. Each week, women from Brook Hills lead a weekly Bible Study for the residents of their secular recovery program. We are also praying for Covenant Presbyterian Church and Pastor Robby Holt.

Day 1: Pray for the residents of Olivia’s House. Pray their hearts and minds would be receptive to the gospel of Jesus Christ and the hope that is offered through salvation. Pray their time at Olivia’s House would be a positive experience in their recovery journey.

Day 2: Pray for the children at Olivia’s House. Pray they would feel safe, seen, and cared for during their time at Olivia’s House. Ask God to open their young hearts and minds to a saving relationship with Jesus. Pray they would continue to bond with their mom while at Olivia’s House.

Day 3: Pray for the weekly Bible Study at Olivia’s House. Praise God for the women who faithfully lead this study and love the women attending. Ask God to prepare the hearts of the women and ignite their desire to hear and read the Word. Pray for repentance and total surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Day 4: Pray for more women to serve with the Bible Study from Brook Hills. Ask God to continue to raise up women to disciple the women at Olivia’s House. Ask God to clothe them with compassion and grace as they interact with and care for the women.

Day 5: Pray for the monetary needs and services that Olivia’s House requires. Ask God to provide according to those needs so they can effectively care for the women there. Ask God to continue to raise up churches and businesses to serve Olivia’s House.

Day 6: Pray for Olivia’s House interim director and staff. Ask God to provide a new director who will lead the organization with excellence, endurance, and integrity. Pray the staff would continue to persevere in serving the women and be unified in their work as a team. Ask God to fill all open staff roles with Christ-followers who will demonstrate Jesus’ love to the women in all they say and do.

This week we are praying for global missions and our engagement in taking the good news around the world as a faith family.

Day 1: Pray for us, as a faith family, to remain faithful in giving generously toward the spread of the gospel around the world. Ask God to bless us in order to enable us to give more to support our missionaries and those who will go in the future.

Day 2: Ask God to work in the lives of those He wants to serve in other contexts around the world. Pray they would surrender to the leading of the Holy Spirit and be obedient to go wherever He wants them to go.

Day 3: Pray for us, as a faith family, to remain faithful in praying for those who are serving around the world. Ask God to help us be diligent in interceding on their behalf, regularly asking Him to call people to Himself and establish healthy churches.

Day 4: Ask God to give our pastors and elders wisdom and discernment as we send Brook Hills members as missionaries. Pray they would be led by the Holy Spirit in preparing and supporting those who go.

Day 5: Ask God to break through barriers, soften hearts, and work mightily through those serving around the world, especially in hard places where gospel work is met with hostility and resistance.

Day 6: Ask God to help us grow as a church in our love for Christ and our trust in His leading in our lives. Pray for faithfulness in working together to share the good news with our neighbors, our city, and around the world.
