Praise God for His creation. Ask Him to guide us in our study of His Word over the next few weeks to grasp His narrative of Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration. Pray we will all see how the beginning of all things relates to God’s story for us now.

This week we are praying for Birmingham Metro Baptist Association, or BMBA (bmbaonline.org), a cooperative effort of local Southern Baptist churches collaborating to create Gospel advancement opportunities that reach beyond the efforts of an individual congregation. The mission of BMBA is to build the kingdom of God across Metro Birmingham and beyond.

DAY 1: Pray for the 180 BMBA church pastors and their families across the Birmingham Metro area. Pray that these pastors would faithfully proclaim the Gospel in their ministry. Ask God to provide Christ-like pastors for churches in the association currently without pastors.

DAY 2: Pray for the BMBA churches currently involved in revitalization. Pray that these congregations would experience renewal, that God would raise up more leaders, and that they would continue to engage their communities with the Gospel. Ask God to draw more church partners to join these churches as they seek to reach the lost.

DAY 3: Pray for the BMBA Partner Center. Pray for the 10 faith-based nonprofits utilizing the space as they continue to serve client populations across the Greater Birmingham area. Pray that they would demonstrate Christ’s love and compassion as they serve others.

DAY 4: Pray for two of BMBA’s ministries: Discovery Clubs and CASH Ministry. Pray that God would continue to reveal Himself to the many children engaged in Discovery Clubs in Birmingham public schools. Pray that God would continue to equip CASH Ministry to serve 45 churches and faith-based nonprofits by providing bookkeeping services.

DAY 5: Pray for the 12 food distribution points throughout the city that assist in relieving food insecurity for families in need. Pray for the churches using this ministry to serve and love their communities.

DAY 6: Pray for Chris Crain, Executive Director, and the BMBA staff as they serve churches across the Birmingham Metro area. Pray that God would continue to give wisdom as they lead with integrity and endurance as they equip ministries with resources and tools to serve our community.

This week we are praying for Wesley, serving in North Africa.

DAY 1: It is illegal to proselytize in North Africa and illegal to have an Arabic Bible. Please pray for religious freedom and for the church to be faithful in spite of the restrictions. Pray for wisdom and boldness in sharing the gospel and pray for believers to persevere in their faith, for the church to continue to grow and be faithful in spite of persecution.

DAY 2: Pray for Wesley’s friends he has made in an English club. Ask God to soften their hearts to the Gospel and that they would turn away from Islam and follow Jesus.

DAY 3: Pray for the fellowship where Wesley is a member. Ask the Lord for clarity and wisdom and they seek to establish a very diverse church where members speak different languages and come from various cultural backgrounds. Pray for grace, wisdom, and unity and for the church to be a beacon of light in a dark place.

DAY 4: Pray for the Lord to save many and to grow the church in maturity and raise up leaders so that healthy church multiplication can happen throughout North Africa.

DAY 5: Pray for Wesley as he strives to learn the local language. Ask God for endurance and motivation to keep working toward excellence in language learning. Ask the Lord to enable his language to grow so that spiritual conversations will be fruitful and discipleship can take place in the heart language of the people.

DAY 6: Ask the Lord to continue to provide for Wesley’s every need. Ask God to continue to grant him physical strength and endurance. Pray that the Lord will continue to give him avenues for work in his city.
