Praise God for leading us to see the truth of Christ and to believe His gospel. Pray for us all to ascribe to God the glory and honor He alone deserves. Pray for us to see the role we all have to play in His mission, and ask Him to lead us to live as bold witnesses to the world around us.

This week we are praying for our upcoming Ready Day One Sneaker Ball on Thursday, May 21. Ready Day One is an annual event at Oliver Elementary School seeking to promote early school registration so the staff can begin to plan for the next year. Through the Sneaker Ball, we hope and pray that many families from the community will come together not only to register for school but to build friendships and experience the love of Jesus Christ through Christ-followers. We are also praying for New Rising Star Church and Pastor Thomas Beavers.

Day 1: Pray for the kids who will attend the Sneaker Ball. Pray for them to have a fun time with their families and teachers. Pray for them to see and experience the love of Jesus Christ during their time on campus. Pray for the event to lead to gospel conversations.

Day 2: Pray for each family who will attend the Sneaker Ball. Pray for them to feel loved and seen by the school staff and Sneaker Ball volunteers. Pray for the Sneaker Ball to be an opportunity for relationships to deepen in families, with the school, and with community partners.

Day 3: Pray for school registration at the Sneaker Ball. Ask God to bless the process and to lead many families to register on May 21. Ask God to open doors for families to access transportation and any needed documents to complete the registration process.

Day 4: Pray for the educators, administrators, and other staff serving at the Sneaker Ball. Pray for them to be encouraged by the children, parents, and volunteers having fun together. Ask God to draw each of them into a relationship with Him through Jesus. Pray for the staff’s love for the children to be seen and felt by all who enter the building.

Day 5: Pray for members of our Faith Family who will serve at the Sneaker Ball. Pray for them to be marked by love, joy, and gentleness. Ask God to provide many opportunities to pray with parents. Ask God to continue to open more doors for these volunteers to deepen relationships with children, families, and staff at Oliver Elementary throughout the year.

Day 6: Pray for the vendors and other partners helping with the Sneaker Ball. Ask God to bless their services and ministries abundantly in the days ahead.

This week we are praying for our Brook Hills Mid-Termers who will be serving in Malaysia this summer.

Day 1: Pray for our Mid-Termers as they prepare to leave home for many weeks. Ask God to help them pursue Christ, abide in Him, and rely on Him for all of their needs. Pray for them to trust in His provision for all things as they go.

Day 2: Ask the Lord to soften the hearts of the people they will encounter and to lead our Mid-Termers to those who are ready to hear the Good News and believe.

Day 3: Ask God to give all of our Mid-Termers strength and faith as they serve. Ask the Lord to use them to bless the local church and our missionaries they will be serving with. Pray for our Mid-Termers to be an encouragement to them and to help strengthen the local body.

Day 4: Pray for all of our Mid-Termers to be faithful and bold in sharing the gospel whenever they are given the opportunity. Ask the Lord of the harvest to draw people to Himself through their faithful witness.

Day 5: Pray for unity among our Mid-Termers as they serve and work together. Ask God to give them a sweet and sacrificial love for one another that would be a testament of their faith and hope in Christ.

Day 6: Ask the Lord to work in and through all of our Mid-Termers to display the fruit of the Spirit in all that they do. Pray for them to minister and share in humility and grace while they are living in Malaysia this summer.
