Pray for the Church
Praise God for the loving care He shows us and for welcoming us into His family by grace through faith. Ask Him to develop a loving spirit of hospitality within each of us. Pray we would be a church known for welcoming graciously.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for King’s Home (kingshome.com) located in Shelby County. For 50 years, this Christian ministry has been a home to thousands of women, youth, and kids seeking refuge, hope, and help from domestic violence, neglect, abandonment, homelessness, and other difficult and impoverished conditions and circumstances. We are also praying for Union Community Church and Pastor Alex Lovorn.
DAY 1: Pray for the King’s Home residents who do not know Christ to come to know Him as their loving Lord and Savior. Pray for those who are touched by King’s Home’s ministries to be drawn to Him for strength and healing so they can rise above their circumstances.
DAY 2: Pray every woman, youth, and child who comes to King’s Home will experience God’s healing power through restored hearts, renewed hope, and freedom from past abuse against them. Pray that their residents would not allow the world, the flesh, or the devil to guide their lives, but that their hearts and minds would be healed and guided by God’s Word.
DAY 3: Pray for God to give the staff at King’s Home strength, compassion, and discernment as they daily serve. Pray they would be tangible examples of Jesus in every act of kindness, discipline, and care. Ask God to continue to send volunteers from various churches to assist the staff.
DAY 4: Pray for abundant provision – financial support, donations, thrift store funding, and partnerships – to meet needs and continue to impact residents through King’s Home’s life-changing programs.
DAY 5: Pray for both the residents and staff at King’s Home to be drawn closer to Christ. Pray they would grow deeper in faith, find strength and identity in the Solid Rock, and extend Christ’s grace to one another.
DAY 6: Pray for the mission of King’s Home to be fulfilled and for their work to glorify God. Pray for God’s covering and peace over every home, campus, resident, and staff member.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for H and M, long-termers who are serving in the Middle East.
DAY 1: H and M live in a city that is predominantly Muslim. Pray for God to open the eyes of the people to see the truth of the gospel and for them to turn from Islam to follow Jesus.
DAY 2: Pray H and M will continue to develop and build relationships with Muslim people. Ask the Lord to help them identify people of peace who are open to spiritual conversations and ultimately the gospel.
DAY 3: Ask God to open doors in unique and creative ways for H and M to make inroads with Muslim peoples. Pray H and M will be able to take advantage of those opportunities to share the hope they have in Christ.
DAY 4: Pray for the new churches that have been planted. Pray they would continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord and grow in number for God’s glory. Pray they would multiply biblically as they grow together as the body of Christ.
DAY 5: Pray for H and M as they serve in leadership positions in their local church. Ask God to help them serve humbly and graciously, and pray He would give them great wisdom and discernment.
DAY 6: Ask God to bless and protect their marriage, and pray they would parent their children with love and wisdom. Ask God to sustain their family and provide for their every need.
