Pray for God to grant strength, patience, understanding, and wisdom to the men in our faith family to lead their families well. Pray for the fathers in our church to take seriously their responsibility to raise up their children in the knowledge of God. Pray for all of us to join these fathers in helping them make disciples of their children. Pray for the fatherless today to find comfort in God. Pray for fathers who have lost children to know the peace only God can provide. Praise God for being our good, gracious, and loving Heavenly Father.

Kidz2Leaders is a ministry serving children of the incarcerated by providing stability, opportunity, and Christian community over a ten-year continuum. After 25 years of ministry to children in the Atlanta area, Kidz2Leaders is bringing their full programming to Birmingham. With 100,000 children impacted by incarceration in Alabama, the need is immense. Children enter K2L programming between the ages of 8-10 and receive year-round support through high school graduation. During these years, children participate in an annual summer camp, family retreats, mentoring and education programs, internships, and job readiness training, all at no cost to their families. After completion of the program, 99% of children remain free of incarceration and many return to invest in the program as graduates. Most of all, Kidz2Leaders is focused on operating a Christian ministry, with Jesus Christ as the center and the gospel as the primary focus. We are also praying for A2 Church and Pastor Skot Montgomery.

 DAY 1: Pray for the 340 children that will attend Camp Hope (K2L’s summer camp program) in July. Pray their heart will be made ready to receive the gospel, and ask God to grant faith in a sweeping way, bringing transformation to their lives.  

 DAY 2: Pray for the approximately 800 volunteers committed to the ministry of Kidz2Leaders annually. Pray for them to be gospel witnesses, showing the love and mercy of Jesus to children who need this influence in their lives.  

 DAY 3: Pray for the 14 staff members of Kidz2Leaders. Pray they would continually put their trust in Jesus to provide the wisdom, peace, and boldness needed to remain steadfast and effective in their ministry.  

 DAY 4: Pray for Kidz2Leaders Birmingham. Pray for churches, individuals, and corporations to partner with them to fund, staff, and equip the establishment of ministry in Birmingham over the next two years.  

 DAY 5: Pray for churches in Birmingham to be willing to open their doors and hearts to the families of Kidz2Leaders so that each family has the opportunity for relationship to the local church, access to the gospel, and community support. 

 DAY 6: Pray for yourself. Ask God to give you a burden for the brokenhearted and underserved in your city and to reveal the many ways He has gifted you to meet the needs of others in gospel love.

This week we are praying for our long termers, Josip and Kelly Debuljah serving in Croatia. Croatia is one of the most Catholic nations in the world. Being Catholic in Croatia is primarily cultural with only about 30% attending weekly Mass. The Evangelical Church represents about 0.4% of the population, but is slowly growing. The scars of past wars and traumas remain, but the door is open for the message of the gospel to reconcile, heal hurts, and give lasting hope!

DAY 1: Pray for Josip and Kelly as they engage with unbelievers. Pray those seeking hope will be desperate for real hope in their lives. This usually comes out of a time of crisis. Pray for believers to engage with those in crises to share the hope they have in Christ. 

DAY 2: Ask God to provide and sustain the Debuljahs as they equip believers in local churches for ministry and evangelism. Pray they would be consistent in encouraging them in discipleship and evangelism. 

DAY 3:  Pray for local churches to have a strong conviction to make disciples and for those members to grow in their faith and be bold to share the gospel and make disciples in Croatia. Pray for the leaders of local churches to lead their local body by modeling discipleship.

DAY 4: Ask the Lord to bring about healthy churches that will grow and multiply throughout Croatia. Ask the Lord to strengthen churches in their faith. Pray for them to encourage and equip believers for ministry that takes place outside the local church. 

DAY 5: Pray Kelly and Josip would lead and love their children well. Ask the Lord to help guide them and disciple them well. Pray for the Lord to enable them to support their children emotionally and spiritually. Several of their kids have graduated or are in the process of graduating from home into adulthood. Ask the Lord to give them wisdom and discernment as they work through school, career, and living decisions.

DAY 6: Ask God, by His Spirit, to enable their adult children to remain faithful to the Lord, trusting Him for all things. Pray they will grow in their walk with Christ as adults. Pray their family would continue to develop relationships and be faithful to share with those in their community.
