Praise God for the gift of community in His church where we find support, care, and encouragement. Pray for us all to learn how to find contentment in Christ. Ask Him to grant us the strength to do all He has called us to do as we rely fully upon Him.

This week we are praying for NorthStar Soccer Ministries (northstarsoccerministries.org), a Christ-centered non-profit soccer organization that uses soccer as a tool to mentor students and share the gospel. We are also praying for Covenant Presbyterian Church and Pastor Robby Holt.

DAY 1: Pray for spiritually motivated volunteers for NorthStar who want to share the gospel and be a mentor for at-risk students. Pray for fruitful gospel and discipleship conversations while they teach and coach students.

DAY 2: Pray for NorthStar programs not only to benefit individual youth, but to also serve as a beacon and rallying point for families. Pray NorthStar can be one among many positive strands doing good and building the community while pointing to Christ.

DAY 3: Pray against negative community influences which can lure youth away from positive opportunities. Pray against gangs, substance abuse, and crime. Pray for the flourishing of other positive opportunities such as arts programs, academic enrichment opportunities, scouting/adventure programs, and supportive church youth groups.

DAY 4: Pray specifically for NorthStar’s involvement at Oliver Elementary School. Pray through soccer many families at Oliver will come to know the love of Christ and find joy in the community through soccer. Pray NorthStar will be seen as a positive presence both to the school programming and to the community of Gate City.

DAY 5: Pray for financial provision for NorthStar Soccer. Pray many would see the positive influence sports can have on a child’s life and make an investment in NorthStar. Pray for support to cover gas, van maintenance, and funding to hire a regular driver for the NorthStar van. Transportation is always an issue for NorthStar families. Pray for donors to help contribute to the building of their new soccer complex.

DAY 6: Pray for Paul Neville, NorthStar Soccer Ministries Executive Director. Askthe Lord to give him wisdom and clarity as he seeks to continue to expand NorthStar into other schools. Pray for the Board of Directors and staff as they seek to model Christ to the families they encounter weekly.

This week we are praying for our mid-termers who will be serving in North Africa and Japan this summer.

DAY 1: Pray for our mid-termers as they prepare to go this summer. Ask God to help them to abide in Him, relying on Him for all of their needs. Pray they would trust in His provision for all things.

DAY 2: Ask the Lord to soften the hearts of the people of North Africa and Japan and to lead our mid-termers to those who are ready to hear and believe.

DAY 3: Ask God to give all of our mid-termers strength and faith as they serve. Ask the Lord to use them to bless the local church with whom they will be serving, and pray they would be an encouragement and strengthen the local body.

DAY 4: Pray all of our Mid-Termers will be faithful to share the gospel whenever they are given the opportunity. Ask the Lord of the harvest to draw people to Himself through their faithfulness.

DAY 5: Pray for our couple serving in Japan. Ask the Lord to use them as they work in a local church. Ask the Lord to help them be a blessing to expat workers through member care and assistance.

DAY 6: Ask the Lord to work in and through all of our mid-termers to display the fruits of the Spirit in all they do. Pray they will minister and share in humility and grace while they are serving in North Africa and Japan.
