Ministry Role & Responsibility: As the Member Care Ministry Assistant, I have the privilege of supporting members of the faith family by providing assistance to the Pastor of Member Care in matters related to biblical counseling, pastoral care, family assistance, ushers, elder support and communion. I also serve as the backup to the main receptionist.
About Me: I was born in Birmingham, AL and grew up, primarily, in New Orleans from age 8 until I graduated from high school. I married my college sweetheart, Chris, in 1995, prior to graduating from Louisiana College. I later graduated from LSU with a degree in social work. Before joining the staff at Brook Hills, I worked in various roles with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. I have a heart for adoption and enjoy supporting families in all stages of the process. Chris and I have been blessed with one incredible daughter, Emma-Kate, who is even more energetic than our dog (Cooper) and 2 cats (Sasha and Shadow). As a family, we enjoy walking to our neighborhood park, reading together, and family movie nights. I love participating in the Worship Choir as well as volunteering with Brook Hills Kids on Sunday mornings and Kids Choir. In my free time, I enjoy Pinterest, traveling, cooking, photography, Netflix, and chatting with friends over coffee.

"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:9-11
Interesting Fact: In high school, I worked in a Cuban restaurant and once got a penny for a tip. Waiting tables is clearly NOT my gift!
