The World Games
People from all across the globe will be converging on the city of Birmingham this July for the World Games. As a church, we are encouraging our people to mobilize and show warm hospitality to love our neighbors well during the games. You can do this by volunteering with World Games, serving with Baba Java (the official coffee sponsor of the World Games), or attending games with the intentionality of being warm, welcoming, and having gospel conversations.
Volunteer with Baba Java at the World Games
Did you miss the deadline to register to serve at the World Games? Don’t worry, it’s not too late to sign up to serve with Baba Java! They are still looking for volunteers to brew coffee at a variety of sites all across the city, deliver the coffee to volunteer stations across the World Games venue sites, and clean up and reset for the next day. If you are interested in serving in this way, email Josh at .
Pray for the World Games
As we desire to see the mission of God go forward in our city and the gospel to change lives, prayer should not be just an after-thought but recognized as what paves the way for life-changing encounters. The Birmingham Metro Baptist Association has compiled the prayer guide below for local churches to follow in the remaining days leading up to the World Games.
