Focus Studies are short-term classes or support groups that take a closer look at God’s Word as it relates to a specific book of the Bible or topic to help us grow in Jesus. They give us the chance to explore these topics or books together over a specific time, from a few weeks to a whole semester. To register for a Focus Study, please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

Focus Studies Spring 2023

What the Church Does

Join us for the spring semester emphasis of 2 Strong. The fall Focus Study looked at What the Church Is, but now we pivot to What the Church Does, with a focus on cultivating a rich, gospel-centered community. We can't grow to maturity in Christ without a deep community. At Brook Hills, much of this happens through intentional gatherings in small groups. Let's spend some time learning how to steward the gift of fellowship to make it even stronger.

This four-week study will meet on Wednesdays from February 8 to March 1, at 6:30pm in the Worship Center. Led by Matt Mason and others.

Grace for the Day

Do you ever feel anxious when you’re talking to someone? Do you get overwhelmed every time you think about the future? Do you ever feel like fear grips you and won’t let go? Come join us as we look to Scripture to gain a greater understanding of fear and anxiety and what difference it makes that the Lord says He is with us and gives us grace for each day.

This study will meet on Sundays, February 19 and 26, at 9:00am in Room B304. Led by Brian Munnings.

Who God Is

Grow your understanding of God and get to know Him better. In this four-week study focused on the doctrine of God, we’ll explore the Trinity together and discover more about His divine mystery while also reflecting on the loving relationship He has with His People.

This study will meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm, from April 5 - 26, in Room C122. Led by Chris Kinsley.

The Doctrine of the Word

How did we get the Bible? What does Scripture say about itself? Join us for a three-week study on the Doctrine of Scripture that will increase our love for God’s Word and give us a better understanding of why it’s vitally important for the Christian life.

This study will meet on Sunday mornings at 10:35am, April 16, 23, and 30, in Room B308. Led by Sean Gould.
