The Brook Hills ESL Ministry extends hospitality to internationals living in our city by providing free English classes, establishing community between people of different nationalities, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ through word and deed.


  • ESL Classes: September 23, 2021 – May 12, 2022
  • Morning Classes: 10:15 AM–11:45 AM
  • Evening Classes: 6:30 PM–8:00 PM
  • Classes break for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, Easter, and Summer


  • Lead & Assistant Teachers 
  • Preschool & Children Teachers & Volunteers
  • Hospitality
  • Floaters / Subs
  • Security
  • Brunch/Dinner Meal Providers (Small Group Serving Opportunity)


  • Criminal Background Check is Required
  • BH membership is prioritized
  • No second language is required
  • Volunteer Orientation and Training
  • ESL Certification is required for lead teachers only

We're building an ESL Student Advocacy Team to serve as a resource to our ministry and to our students as they navigate life in America. If you're willing to assist our students with any of the following matters, please email Jess Roberts ( or Kathy Woods ( Those who are willing to assist will be contacted on an as-needed basis. 

  • Legal Advice / Immigration 
  • Grocery Shopping
  • Learning to Drive
  • Citizenship Test Practice
  • Interpretation (for special ESL events, Doctor Visits, Legal appts, etc,)
  • Transportation (a ride to ESL, etc.)
  • Financial Matters (opening a bank account, buying a car, renting a home, filing taxes, etc.)
