Each year, over 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide fast and pray for 30 days during Ramadan.  The 30-day Ramadan fast, observed from sunrise to sunset each day, represents not only cultural tradition, but also religious obligation.  As one of Islam's five "pillars", the Ramadan fast tangibly displays the most foundational belief of Islam:  Strict observance of Islam's requirements creates righteousness and encourages Allah's forgiveness of sins.

We know there is no man who can earn favor with God.  No one is righteous.  We are in need of a Savior.  We are in need of Christ.

Therefore, as our Muslim friends have open hearts and are seeking favor with God this Ramadan season, we want to take the opportunity to pray that they would see God for who he really is and their need for a Savior in Christ.

Join us for a month of prayer (May 26th - June 25th) as we commit ourselves to focused prayer for our Brook Hills Church Planters working among Muslim people groups around the world and to intentional evangelism as we seek out and serve our Muslim neighbors here in Birmingham with the gospel.

1.  Pray and Fast for our Church Planters:  Sign-up as an individual or small group to fast and pray for one of our Church Planting teams serving among Muslims.  We have specific requests from our teams to send your way.  All you have to do is email Andy Wood and he will get you signed up for a day (or more if you'd like) during the month of Ramadan.

2. Join us for our Quarterly Prayer Gathering:  June 7th at 6:30pm - The Church at Brook Hills.  That evening we will gather to pray for Muslims in our city and around the world.

3.  Come to our Understanding and Serving Muslims Workshop - with guest speaker John Klaassen, author of Engaging Muslims. Thursday, June 29th in The Student Building at 6:30pm. We will discuss the realities of an Islamic Worldview and how best to engage our Muslim neighbors with the gospel. Bring your own dinner, we will provide the dessert and coffee. We do ask that you REGISTER HERE.
