Our small groups are designed for mothers of young children at home to be led and discipled by older moms, studying the Bible, strengthening their faith, and building friendships.
A Different Format This Fall:
Both Mom Time and Women’s Community Group will study together the book of Acts in the Bible and how the first church looked using the material, "The Gospel on the Ground."
These groups will have an opportunity to form friendships across the generations as we pair small group breakouts into Sister Groups. Sister Groups are two breakout groups that will intentionally spend time together during the semester to form stronger friendships and model Titus 2 in our church.

*Each workbook now has a code for viewing each week's teaching video on your own if you miss a week with the large group video portion. This study also has a reading guide through the book of Acts we would encourage you to consider as well.
Schedule: Meets Wednesdays from August 31-November 9, 10:00am-12:00pm on campus.
- Wednesday, August 31-November 9: Large Group and/or Small Group Time in Room B304 and individual small group rooms
- Wednesday, November 16: Joint Wrap-up Brunch in the Student Center, 10:00am-12pm with our Women's Community Group small groups
- Location: All Mom Time small groups will meet every other week for a joint time of prayer, encouragement, and a teaching video in Room B304. After the video, groups will transition to their small group rooms. On non-video weeks, you will go straight to your small group time.
*Coffee and light refreshments will be provided each week, and water refill stations are also available.
We offer on-campus childcare for preschoolers (Birth-K5) for our Mom Time small groups. Children can be dropped off each week at 9:30am in the main building. Look for childcare check-in signage when you arrive. We would love to have your child(ren) join us each week of the semester, August 31-November 16, 2022!
If you need childcare, make sure that you complete this registration form. When you do this, you will be registering for childcare for the entire semester.
If you have any questions regarding childcare, you can email
MEET THE LEADERS
I went to graduate school at Auburn and met my husband, Bill, in the Navigator ministry. We have been married for 37 years and have five daughters. We also have two grandsons. I am currently studying Biblical Counseling at Birmingham Theological Seminary. I have been through many difficult things, and the only thing that has given me any comfort and consolation in my distress is God's Word.
Rob and I have been married 32 years. We have three precious daughters, three wonderful sons-in-law, four grandsons, and one granddaughter. It is one of my deepest joys to come alongside young women, as they are in the midst of some of the hardest seasons of their lives. It is my prayer that God could use my life’s experiences and testimony to encourage others in this journey
I have been married to Mike for 32 years. We have three grown children and four adorable grandchildren. We moved to Birmingham two years ago from Southern California, where I taught elementary school for 34 years. We love living in Birmingham! I believe there is nothing more life-transforming than digging into God’s Word.
I have been married to Mike Joiner for over 42 years. We have one daughter, and she and her husband have one son. They are also foster parents and have one foster son in their home right now. We have been members of Brook Hills for 22 years, and I have led Mom Time groups for five years. I enjoy spending time with family, cooking/baking and volunteer work with Shelby Baptist Association.
I’m the wife of Charles and mom to three young adult sons. Having finally finished homeschooling them, I have LOVED getting to focus some of my time with young women as a Mom Time leader at Brook Hills! The Lord has given me a real heart for mentoring young moms and coming alongside then to encourage them as wives and mothers!

“Mom Time has been an incredible blessing in my life! The Lord has used these women to encourage me in my pursuit of Christ and mothering in His image. The friendships formed are genuine and some of the most meaningful I’ve ever had. So thankful that the Lord directed me to step out and get involved!”
