All 4th & 5th grade boys and their dads are invited to join us at Oak Mountain State Park for a time of adventure and challenge in the woods. Be prepared to have fun out on the trails and in the water. Bring a compass (any iPhone will work) and an appetite!

Here's everything you need to know:

  • Location: Oak Moutain State Park, Red Bud Pavilion
  • When: Saturday, August 19, 3-6pm
  • What to bring: comfortables clothes/shoes for hiking, swimsuit, and towel
  • Cost: $3 per person for dinner. Entry into the park is cash only: $5 per Adult (age 12+) and $2 per Child (age 4 to 11).

We will meet at the Red Bud Pavilion. It's right next to the BMX track. From either entrance, follow the signs to the BMX trail or Red Bud, and it should be easy to find. From the Back Gate (off 119, not I-65) go 3.7 miles, and then turn left at the BMX track.

Cell reception is spotty in areas, so be prepared for limited access to call in or out. If you have questions, contact Andrew Varvoutis at (205) 789-5638.
