How's Your Lead?
As we focus on life transformation, one key component of disciple-making is seeing the Gospel lived out in real life. The disciples had Jesus as their model. Small Group members have you! Wow! We didn't intend to add pressure, but it is an important factor. As leaders, we'll never be Jesus, but we must strive diligently for a fruitful, abiding, and overflowing life in Christ (John 7:38 and 15:5-8). Here are some self-evaluation questions for you to consider as you work toward being a model of what it means to follow Christ.
- Are you spending time daily in God's Word, growing in Christ? (Heb. 4:12)
- Do you pray regularly for yourself and others? (1 Peter 4:7)
- Are you committing God's Word to memory and meditation? (Psalm 119:11)
- Are you actively engaged in evangelism? (Acts 4:20)
- Are you setting the example of a Christ-follower in every part of your life? (Titus 2:7)
- Do you value those around you and have good relationships? (Phil. 2:3-4)
