“And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.” ~ Acts 14:27.

It’s finally December! All of the people who have been wishing for the Christmas season to begin can now take a deep breath. It’s finally time to start listening to Christmas music and hang Christmas decorations. And for those who have been doing so for a month now, can finally do so with gusto and without shame.

And for us here at The Church at Brook Hills you can see the shift…our lobby is beautifully decorated with greenery and red bows, there is a new sermon series logo up called “A Manger with a Mission”, and Global Offering boxes are scattered around the worship room. There is a stirring, and we welcome it because it points us to the birth of Christ, hope for mankind.

It's also a wonderful time because it marks the beginning of a season of celebrating what God has accomplished in and through our church through the Global Offering.

The Global Offering is the main way we mobilize and send our faith family to make disciples of all nations. If you have been around Brook Hills for any length of time you will know that it is part of our DNA to participate globally each year for the sake of urgent physical and spiritual need in our world.

“We Glorify God by Making Disciples of All Nations”

This year is no different and it is humbling to be able to look back on all the things the Father has done.

We are reminded in Acts 14:27 that it is good to declare what God has done and to celebrate together what God has allowed us to participate in as he opens doors of faith to those who have never heard his name.

So for the next 31 days of December we will make declarations of God’s faithfulness!

Each day on the Global Blog you will read stories, incredible stories, about our faith family and how the Global Offering is impacting our world. Stories of salvation, short-term trips, long-term disciple-making, and much more. Not only that, but each Sunday in our worship gatherings we will have the opportunity to highlight in-depth one of these stories and spend time praying for how the Global Offering will be used in 2015.

Our hope is that these stories will cause outward praise to our God who is working for his glory, and outward obedience to sacrificially give and participate towards the Global Offering this year.

We hope you enjoy the stories of God's faithfulness and feel the joy that comes with participating in this mission. Begin praying now how you and your family will give so that we can continue to work for God's name to be declared among all nations.

Callie P. serves as the Coordinator of Global Partnerships for The Church at Brook Hills. Her current role allows her the opportunity to interact with partners and collect the stories of how Brook Hills is participating around the world for the spread of the gospel. For Callie it is a joy to get to share these stories with the faith family and tell of God's faithfulness to his people.
