Leadership Opportunities for Celebration Kids
You can have an important role in shaping the lives of our kids through Celebration Kids on Wednesday nights. Here are a few of the ways to be involved:
Younger Celebration Kids
Age 4 (by September 1) through Kindergarten
Check-In Team
This team will greet parents and kids and check them into the computer. No experience necessary; training will be provided.
Music Leaders
- Small Group Music Teachers. Teachers will lead an informal choir time using CD accompaniment and simple activities to help kids learn Praise and Worship Songs. This time will also be used to experiment with instruments like maracas and step bells.
- Large Group Music Leaders. Assist the Younger Celebration Kids Coordinator in leading a Large Group worship time. This position requires energetic leaders who sing and use simple choreography (hand motions, etc.) to help lead younger kids in worship through example.
This position will require some additional but brief rehearsal time on occasion--before Celebration Kids--to learn choreography and rehearse. Each leader will receive a CD in advance with all music to learn individually.
Technical Team
This person(s) will help in assisting the coordinator during the Large Group Worship session by running lights, music and video. No experience necessary; training will be provided.
Hall Monitors
These adults will help monitor the hallways during Celebration Kids to ensure safety and security by supervising bathroom use, assisting teachers when necessary and supervising parent drop off/pick up.
Bible Study Leaders
- Bible Study Teachers. Lead kids in interactive and exciting Bible Study each week. Bible Study teachers will help kids learn Bible basics as well as bring them to a deeper understanding of the Word of God and their role as Worshippers.
- Bible Study Helpers. These teachers will assist the Leader in the classroom by supervising and helping kids in their Bible Study.
Older Celebration Kids
Grades 1-5
Check-In Team
This team will greet parents and kids and check them into the computer. No experience necessary; training will be provided.
Music Leaders
This team will help lead grades 1-5 in a group worship setting. This team will consist of adults as well as kids. Depending on the number of volunteers this group will possibly lead Large Group on a rotating basis. This position requires energetic leaders who sing and use simple choreography (hand motions, etc.) to help lead older kids in worship through example.
This position will require some additional but brief rehearsal time on occasion--before Celebration Kids--to learn choreography and review music. Each leader will receive a CD in advance with all music to learn individually.
