Praise God for the work He accomplished through Jesus’ death and resurrection, making a way for our sins to be forgiven so we might be reconciled to Him. Pray for Him to lead more to hear and respond to the gospel in faith. Ask Him to help us all live obedient lives confident in the righteousness He has granted to us.

This week we are praying for Brook Hills students and the Love Oliver zone students who will begin a new school year over the next couple of weeks. We also want to pray for their parents, teachers, administrators, mentors, and spiritual leaders as they work to equip their students to reach their full potential and enjoy God’s good design for their lives. We are also praying for Mountain Brook Community Church and Pastor Tim Kallam.

DAY 1: Pray for all of the students in the Love Oliver zone as they begin school on Thursday, August 7. Pray for peace, patience, and wisdom to flood the halls of their schools and for each student’s heart and mind. Pray they will embrace the education needed to enjoy God’s plans for their lives.

DAY 2: Pray for the administration at Oliver Elementary School. Pray for wisdom, patience, strength, and guidance for Mrs. Burney (principal) and Mr. Kendrick Graham (assistant principal) as they seek to prayerfully lead their staff and students to be all God created them to be.

DAY 3: Pray for the many partners serving Oliver students and families seeking to help them understand and respond to the gospel and enjoy God’s good design for their lives in all areas as they live in a trauma-impacted community.

DAY 4: Pray for all ages of Brook Hills students. Pray they would grow closer to Jesus this year and be bold in their witness. Pray they would take advantage of opportunities to influence friends, classmates, and school staff to know and grow in Christ as well.

DAY 5: Pray for all of the teachers, home school parents, and administrators to have wisdom, skill, sensitivity, patience, and endurance as they help our students learn and grow to fulfill God’s purposes for them in their generation (Acts 13:16).

DAY 6: Pray for parents as they guide, encourage, and support their students this year. Pray for them to be able to guide them toward stronger faith in Christ.

This week we are praying for the nations of Cambodia and Thailand. The deadliest conflict in more than a decade erupted recently with intense fighting that displaced over 300,000 people. Join us as we lift up these countries to the Lord and ask God to work on their behalf for His glory.

DAY 1: Pray for missionaries working and living in Thailand and Cambodia. Pray for God to use them during this time to share the peace and hope they have in Christ. Ask the Lord to give them strength, endurance, and assurance of His love and care for them. 

DAY 2: Ask the Lord to work in and among believers directly affected by the conflict. Pray they would be comforted by the Spirit and would rest in the assurance of their salvation. Pray for them to be bold to share the love of Christ and declare their trust in Him. 

DAY 3: Pray for those impacted by the conflict who have had to flee their homes. Ask God to restore peace to this region so they can return home and live in peace. Pray their eyes would be opened to the truth of the gospel and for them to seek lasting peace and hope in the only One who can truly save them. 

DAY 4: Ask the Lord to work in the lives of those who lost loved ones in this recent conflict. Pray that in their grief and loss they would turn to the one true Savior who desires to comfort, love, and care for them.

DAY 5: Pray for the leaders of both countries to pursue lasting peace and lead their countries with wisdom and humility. Ask the Lord to open their eyes and soften their hearts to the gospel. Ask the Lord to raise up leaders in Cambodia and Thailand who love and serve Him.

DAY 6: Ask the Lord to continue to grow His church in Thailand and Cambodia. Pray for Him to strengthen the church and for the faith of believers to grow deeper and stronger. Ask the Lord to bring many to faith, and pray for the one true God to be glorified and worshipped all over Cambodia and Thailand.
