Hannah Chism

Children's Ministry Assistant

Ministry Role & Responsibility: As the Children’s Ministry Assistant I participate with planning, communicating, and organizing special yearly events, as well as assisting on Sunday morning and Ignite on Wednesday nights.

About Me: I was adopted from Ecuador. My parents were missionaries, and we lived in Ecuador, Spain and Mexico City. During most of our furloughs and summers my family would stay in Birmingham; we often attended The Church at Brook Hills. I am so happy to be here and to experience all that the Lord has in store for me in this new season with Brook Hills Kids! My relationship with Christ is the most important thing in my life. I love spending time with my family, going to coffee shops, and scrapbooking. I also enjoy traveling and have been able to serve the Lord overseas in both Ecuador and Peru.

On Staff Since: July 2016

Favorite Scripture:

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. - Jeremiah 29:11-13

Interesting Fact: I have met my birth family in Ecuador (birth mom, four birth sisters, and one birth brother). Every summer since 2012 I have been blessed to be able to visit them and maintain communication with them throughout the year. What an awesome gift the Lord has given me!
