Ministry Role & Responsibility: I seek to spend time developing relationships with Brook Hills Foster families as well as those outside of Brook Hills who attend the Foster Parent Support Group to understand their needs, provide counsel, and give encouragement. I work alongside the Foster Care Volunteer Leadership Team to provide support and training for Foster Families and coordinate Foster Care Ministry planning with the City Ministries Pastor. I also serve as the connection point with our Foster Care Agency Partners.

About Me: I have been married to Matt Bunt for 16 years and we have 2 daughters, Haley and Alaura. Haley is our biological daughter and Alaura was adopted through foster care through Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes. We have been licensed foster parents for over 10 years and currently help with respite care. In addition to my role at Brook Hills, I teach private violin lessons from my home studio. My husband is the Executive Director for the Red Barn in Leeds. Our girls attend school at Westminster.

Interesting Fact: I am from Shelbyville, TN and moved to attend college at Samford University for a Music Education degree. I fell in love with Birmingham and have lived here ever since!
