Amy Hutto

Member Care Ministry Assistant

Ministry Role & Responsibility: I have the privilege of supporting members of the faith family by providing assistance to the Member Care team in matters related to pastoral care, benevolence, biblical counseling, membership, hospitality, and communion. I also serve as the backup to the main receptionist.

About Me: I grew up in New Orleans and married my college sweetheart in 1995, prior to graduating from college. Before joining the staff at Brook Hills, I worked in various settings with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. Chris and I are blessed with one amazing daughter, a dog, and two cats! As a family, we enjoy outdoor activities, hiking, and family movie nights. I also love participating in the Worship Choir, as well as volunteering with Brook Hills Kids on Sunday mornings and with Kids Choir. In my free time, I like to travel, cook, watch Netflix, and engage with friends over coffee or a good meal.

On Staff Since: May 2017

Member Of Brook Hills Since: August 2005

Favorite Scripture:

"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."  - Isaiah 55:9-11

Interesting Fact: I prefer the character and charm of old houses. Our first home was built in the 1840's, nearly 20 years before Abraham Lincoln was president.
