Marcia Foxworthy

What is your job at Brook Hills?
I maintain the sermon messages on CD/DVD and stock of approved materials sold in the Brook Store, i.e. sermons, music CDs, books, etc.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Assisting people with whatever they need, getting to know the individuals that contact me to order media, interacting with people that come to the Brook Store to purchase materials, and maintaining message series and other materials.

How & when did you first come to Brook Hills?
We moved to Birmingham in 2005 when Brook Hills was in transition with their Senior Pastor, but we felt lead to stay and see where the process of a new pastor lead.

Where are you from?
I am originally from Tennessee. After getting married, my husband and I relocated several times taking us from Alabama to Michigan, back to Alabama, to New Jersey, Indiana and back to Alabama.

Who is in your family?
Fox – Husband; Bryan – son; Caitlin – daughter;
2 cats, 1 dog, 1 “white” goldfish and a “grandcat”!

Please provide a short testimony about your relationship with Christ?
I was raised going to church and Sunday school. I remember attending VBS every summer and was excited to memorize the Scriptures. This gave me a hunger for the Bible, and I would read it every night and pray. I accepted Christ at age 7. I know Jesus is with me in every thing and place I am. God revealed to me His sovereign power, mercy and grace, and God is my first priority in life! God is the One in control and not me. I want to know Him more and more and to make Him (the Gospel) known to all peoples in the entire world.

What’s your favorite Bible verse?
Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
Psalm 46:10
God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

What was the best concert you’ve ever been to?
The Beatles

What is the best place you have ever visited?
Milan, Italy and saw the Lord’s Supper painting; very moving.

These are a few of my favorite things…
I love to cook and create different dishes, make jewelry, and CHOCOLATE!

What silly trick can you do that most people can’t?
I can touch the end of my nose with my tongue.
