Ministry Role & Responsibility: We have been called by God to love and look after the orphan, the widow, the oppressed, the imprisoned, and the poor. As part of the Local Missions team, it is my joy to connect members of our faith family with opportunities to share God's love, healing, and redemption with those in need through Gospel-Centered partnerships in our city.
About Me: I moved to Birmingham after graduating from Auburn University in the Fall of '09. After teaching Kindergarten for three precious years, I left all that was familiar and spent nearly a year traveling to 11 countries with a group of young adults, living and ministering in each place we stayed. Upon returning home, I knew that I never wanted to get stuck in the "familiar" again. I like to try new foods, experience new cultures, learn new things, and explore new places.

When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" He said, "Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." Then Elisha prayed and said, "O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see." So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. - 2 Kings 6:15-17
Interesting Fact: Some friends and I were asked to sing a song on stage during the concert of a famous Ethiopian vocalist. We can't actually sing, but that night we sang"How Great is Our God" in front of about 2,000 people! Hey, when in Africa!
