Ministry Role & Responsibility: As the Web Coordinator, I'm responsible for the development and implementation of our online communications strategy, including our website and social media presence. I also assist in story development, writing, and editing for our worship guide and blog.
About Me: A Birmingham native, I graduated from the University of Montevallo with a degree in Communication Studies and minor in Studio Art. Experiences in college and a marketing development internship at a local non-profit challenged me to pursue what it takes to create thought-provoking content that inspires and motivates people. Although I have always been passionate about connecting with people through writing and art, I developed a love for the process of composing messages that hold clarity, depth, and most of all, sincerity.
I met my husband on a mission trip to London, England, and we’ve now been married five sweet, challenging years full of change and growth. We love to travel, learn about different cultures, explore new places (especially coffee shops) and meet new people. We recently returned from a year-long adventure in Austin, Texas – our puppy, Luna, in tow. Our hearts lie in Birmingham, though, with our big, crazy families and beautiful community here at Brook Hills. In my spare time, you might find me working on a freelance writing or painting project, engrossed in a book, or spending time outdoors with friends, family, and our sassy pup.
I continue to be fascinated by the art of communication and storytelling.

In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. – 1 Peter 1:6-9
Interesting Fact: I'm a black belt in TaeKwonDo.
