Special Needs Buddies volunteer to serve with preschool, children, and students as they learn and grow in Christ while in their weekly ministry activities at Brook Hills.  We ask Buddies to make a school year (September-June) commitment to their child or teen if possible.

In some cases, a child's needs for a Buddy may be determined in part by a particular diagnosis, and in other cases by the expressed needs of the child or family.  This information can be shared with a prospective Buddy as they explore their ability to serve.

Immediate needs:

• Buddy for a 4 year old girl, needs help with classroom activities and transitioning to worship and playground (female, needed 1st and 3rd Sundays)
• Buddy for 4 year old girl with hearing impairment, needing help with classroom activities, staying on track with schedule and transitioning from place to place with class.
• Buddy for active 5 year old boy on the autism spectrum, needing help with classroom activities, staying on track with schedule and transitioning from place to place with class
• Buddy for active 5 year old boy, needing help with classroom activities, staying on track with schedule and transitioning from place to place with class.
• Female Buddy for active 2nd grade girl, needing help with staying on track with schedule and transitioning from place to place with class.
• Male buddy for active 3rd grade boy on the autism spectrum, needing help with classroom activities, staying on track with schedule and transitioning from place to place with class.
