Families with babies in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) face many challenges as their little ones often remain in the hospital for months. Often, these families do not have a church home. Brook Hills has been invited to help provide meals and encouragement on Tuesday nights prior to a Discharge Class.
A meal as simple as of pizza, drinks, and dessert for 20-25 people would be great. Volunteers who provide food may stay to minister and fellowship if their schedule allows. Currently, the coordinator is trying to fill Tuesdays in December. Small groups may sign up for a single night or a monthly rotation. Please contact BH member Jennifer Watlington, at (205) 266-2998.
The group would serve meals on the fourth floor of The Women and Children's Building at 6:15pm, with set-up time at 5:45pm. Some of the NICU staff would be available to help.

Volunteer need: Vapor Thrift Store receives 1,000 — 3,000 pounds of clothing donations from the local community on a daily basis. We have a large need for volunteers to help our staff sort through these donations on a one—time or recurring basis depending on the availability of the group.
We can host your group of volunteers on a day and time that fits you best on a Monday through Saturday. If your group would be willing to help, please email the store manager, Sommer L’Hoste, at: slhoste@vaporministries.org.
