Here are the best options for remote meetings of your Small Group. You'll find links to some info pages put together by Jay Gordon for our Small Group leaders, as well as links to the resources themselves.

Phone Only Meetings

  • These are simplest. Participants only need to call a telephone number to join.
  • This is helpful if some group members have poor or no internet connection.
  • Brook Hills has a paid account, meaning no PIN is needed like a free account.
  • Follow this link for more details and the BH Account User Schedule.
  • Set up an individual account at FreeConferenceCall.com.

Zoom Video Conferencing

  • Zoom is the most popular, well known, and feature-rich.
  • Zoom is free for up to 40 minutes of meeting time with up to 100 people.
  • A paid account is about $15/month, working out to about $4 per week.
  • Follow this link for the BH Page with Zoom Information.
  • BH Small Groups has a couple of paid accounts. Contact asharmann@brookhills.org for availability.
  • Set up an individual account at Zoom.us.
  • Zoom works best when you download the software to computer or phone.

Jitsi Meet Video Conferencing

  • Jitsi is Jay's favorite because it's free and simple.
  • Some groups prefer Zoom and have had better results.
  • Jitsi has a great app and works well only in Chrome web browser, not with other browsers.
  • Download the chrome extension if using a computer or the app if using a smartphone.
  • Follow this link for more information on Jitsi from Brook Hills.
