In a Word, Incredible!
On July 15-17, 2005, more than 1,200 volunteers descended on five homes, a church and a battered women's shelter in the Birmingham area. This mission: to transform the homes and organizations of these deserving families and groups--no catch, free of charge, and all the while sharing the love of Christ through our labor. The Extreme Home GraceOver was truly a monumental undertaking, consuming more than 68,000 man-hours of labor, over $400,000 in donated goods and services, and $312,000 donated by members of the Brook Hills Faith Family. It not only tranformed the physical circumstances of many, but was a time of spiritual growth for our entire Faith Family.

The Mission
To share God’s love and demonstrate our obedience to Christ through serving those in need in the greater Birmingham area.

Project Scripture
For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.” Then the righteous will answer Him, “Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?” The King will answer and say to them, “Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.” Matthew 25:35-40
