New! An Update from Heather Platt
As 2007 concludes, the Platt's have an update on life after adoption and a retelling of their adoption story from earlier this year--along with some new pictures to enjoy. More...
David and Heather Platt Welcome a Son
Long before the Platts came to Brook Hills in June 2006, they began the process of adopting a child internationally. Through a lengthy and prayerful process, and working with a U.S. adoption agency, they began paperwork and preparations to adopt an orphan child from the nation of Kazakhstan. That process was completed in late February and early March, 2007, when the Platts traveled to Kazakhstan and returned with Caleb Thomas Platt, their son.
Throughout the adoption trip, a month-long excursion halfway around the world, the Platts kept the church updated daily on their progress, and shared insights into their spiritual journey as well. The page links below are an archive of their daily updates to the Faith Family online.

Kazak-huh?
Okay, chances are you've never heard of Kazakhstan. Admittedly, even spelling Kazakhstan correctly gives some people fits.
