Since accepting the role of Senior Pastor in June 2006, Dr. David Platt has taught several series through Scripture on the role of the church, the Christ-follower and church leaders, as well as God's mission for the church in today's world. These messages and an explosion of global and local ministry involvement, from short-term mission efforts to dozens of new Small Groups, have propelled our church forward over the last year.

On Sunday, November 18, Dr. Platt summarized the Bible teaching on the mission and vision of the church we have been through and began to look forward to some opportunities available to us in the coming months and years to "make disciples of all nations." Some key facets of the message included:

• Brook Hills will focus primarily on our worship gatherings, small groups and short-term missions to fulfill Christ's mission for the church. These are not the only avenues of ministry we will employ, but we want to do these the very best we can.
  
  
• Brook Hills will become a global hub, sharing teaching with multiple disciple-making bases locally and globally. Some local bases may begin in 2008 and we are investigating other local and global options.
  
  
• Our desire is to see any mininstry we engage in to be biblical, simple, intentional, reproducible and cross-cultural. For instance, we want what we teach in Greystone to also make sense in house churches in Asia.

The conversation as to how best accomplish this mission and vision is ongoing. We want your participation and input as we move forward.
