This year, for the first time in 78 years, the Southern Baptist Convention’s annual meeting is in Birmingham. Before each annual meeting, many Southern Baptists from across the nation come early to participate with local church members in Crossover, an evangelistic effort designed saturate the convention’s host city with gospel outreach events.

The North American Mission Board will host an evangelism training and kick-off rally at Brook Hills for volunteer on the evening of Wednesday, June 5, 6:30-8:30pm (childcare provided for Brook Hills families only). Pastor Johnny Hunt and author William Fay will be speaking that night, and we are asking our Small Groups to be a part. On Saturday, June 8, volunteers will participate in gospel outreach, with a makeup training happening at Brook Hills at 8:30am and evangelism in nearby neighborhoods leaving from Brook Hills at 9:30am and visiting until around 4:00pm. (Childcare not provided on Saturday).

Join us for an exciting experience as we share the hope of the gospel and demonstrate it in tangible ways to those in the Birmingham community. As you make plans with your group, please ask participants to sign up at CrossoverBHM.org.
