What Are These Files, Exactly?
These MP3s are message recordings that have been encoded as computer files. For the technically minded, they were encoded at 16 kbps at an 11.025 mhz sample rate in mono audio using Apple iTunes 7. This allows a relatively small 5-6MB file to contain more than 40-60 minutes of speaking.
Audio Quality
You'll notice the audio is a little "digital"--kinda like listening to someone on a cell phone. This is a quality trade-off to get a smaller file, which reduces your download time. If you purchase an audio CD at the church, the quality of the recording will be much higher than what you find here on the website.
How Do I Listen to and Process MP3 Files?
The easiest way to access MP3 audio is with free jukebox software. We recommend Apple iTunes, which allows you to import, sort, play and burn CDs of any of thse message files. It's available for Windows and Macintosh for free at www.apple.com. Go there now...
