Make Disciples: A Conference for Small Group and Community Group Leaders
All Small Group Leaders, Community Group Leaders, Apprentices and all spouses are invited to the Make Disciples Conference. Join us on Friday, February 29 at 6:00 p.m. for dinner as pastor David Platt will challenge us toward "Effectively Making Disciples Through Small Groups." On Saturday, March 1, from 9:00 a.m. until noon Dr. Margie Williamson, a former seminary professor and Executive Editor of Clarity Publishing, will help equip us to teach the Word in Small Groups. She will lead two sessions entitled "Creating a Transformational Teach Plan" and "Facilitating Your Group Toward Life-Change." Register Now...
Message Discussion Guides coinciding with David's messages are now available online in PDF and MS Word document formats. We will do our best to post these guides online by 2:00 pm each Sunday.

Volunteers Needed in Preschool Ministry
We have been blessed with a large number of preschoolers since the beginning of the year and the Preschool Ministry is in need of volunteers to serve once a month on a rotating basis.
Volunteers can care for preschoolers during the 9:00 or 10:45 worship times and you can pick the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Sunday of the month.
Please reply by e-mail to Diona Hightower at dhightower@brookhills.org if you desire to serve and help make disciples of our children.
ROCK THE BLOCK - Backyard Bible Clubs
The summer is just around the corner and that means Backyard Bible Clubs are too!
Look for the display in the Lobby for more information and to sign up to lead, host, help with the carnivals or volunteer in general.
SGL Tips
From time to time I run across helpful bits of wisdom for leading and facilitating Small Groups. As God continues teaching me, I want to pass on these suggestions and bits of wisdom to you. Look for them at the end of each E-News.
For this week - if you want to grow your group, don't just invite people to the group, invite them to your home for dinner. This sounds simple enough but in the first Small Group I led (an On-Campus group) it took me a year to figure out the necessity and power of this practice. For Off-Campus groups this might seem like a built-in event, but often, even in our own homes, our focus rests on the "meeting time" instead of "meeting people". Plan times to meet with and get to know the members of your group outside of your normal meeting time.
