Serve The World

Why global missions?

We serve a God that has promised to exalt Himself among the nations. And we are a people who are called to a mission to make disciples of all nations. According to the Word, we do not have the option to sit back and ignore the urgent spiritual and physical needs of those around the world. We are called to action. We have been commissioned to impact nations with the Gospel.

There is urgent spiritual need in our world. Over 1 billion people today do not have access to the Gospel. In addition, there are over 6,000 people-groups in the world that are still unreached with the Gospel.

There is also urgent physical need in our world. Today, over 26,000 children will die of starvation and preventable diseases. Furthermore, over 1 billion people lived on less than $1 today.

The testimony of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation is that we were created to enjoy God’s grace in relationship with Him, so that we may extend His glory to the ends of the earth. Matthew 28:19 commands and commissions us to “go and make disciples of all nations…”

Why College Students?

College students find themselves in a stage of life that allows them unparalleled opportunity to serve a few weeks, a few months or even a few years of their lives overseas engaged in the mission of Christ- “make disciples of all nations.” Whether it is a few weeks in-between semesters, during summer breaks, or even a year or two post-graduation, college students are afforded the opportunity to impact nations throughout their time in college.

Not only do students have great opportunity as far as time is concerned, they have an abundance of resources backing them as they go! There are many organizations and individuals who are willing to help students take the Gospel to the nations!

How to connect?

Short-term

One week to three months. There are several mission efforts being planned for college students to connect to in 2012. For a full listing of trips or to apply visit the Short-Term Global page. If you are interested in, or desire more information on a particular trip, please email Ashley B. at

Mid-term

Three months up to a year. Often, after participating in short-term missions students feel the Lord leading them to serve for longer than a week or two. Our prayer is that Brook Hills College Ministry could see many students commissioned out from this faith family to serve globally for up to two years. For more information visit the Mid-Term Global page or contact Noah W. at

Long-term

One year or more. Our prayer is that Brook Hills College Ministry would see many commissioned out from this faith family to serve globally in long-term global disciple-making efforts. We strongly encourage you to serve in another context as part of a mid-term team before committing to a long-term mission.

If you are sensing the Lord calling you to long-term global disciple making please contact Noah W. at
