Timeline

Below you’ll find a general timeline and action plan for how we will seek to plant our new church. It’s important to note that the proposed timelines are given for planning and accountability purposes. Our plans are ultimately in God’s hands, He is sovereign and will do with them as He sees fit. The process will continue when milestones, not timelines, are met.

  • Core Group Assimilation (January-June 2011)

    • Begin integrating into the community by building intentional relationships
    • Establish a credible presence in the community by sponsoring and participating in service projects
    • Establish 3-5 small groups in homes
    • Begin gathering those interested for vision casting

  • Core Group Covenant (June 2011)

    • Cast a vision for the church
    • Present Core Group Covenant
    • Ask for Core Group Commitment

  • Core Group Development (July-November 2011)

    • Meet weekly at a gathering for Bible study, vision casting, food, and fellowship
    • Identify and develop leaders
    • Continue to establish credible presence in the community
    • Design and implement plans for gathering
    • Develop assimilation strategy
    • Determine gathering space

  • Corporate Gathering (October 2011-January 2012)

    • First Preview Service—October 2011
    • Second Preview Service—November 2011
    • Third Preview Service—December 2011
    • Begin Weekly Gatherings—January 2012
    • Assess staff needs
    • Continue developing congregation
    • Evaluate and adapt for future growth
